Did I see someone say the restaurant attire for men has changed at TTR?? If anyone knows forsure please post info here. I hope we can at least have nice shorts or something. I hate having to put long pants on for dinner.
The resort website had changed dress code descriptions for restaurants. Dress shorts are listed as allowed for couple of them but not all.
So a small victory (in my opinion), with some updates regarding the dress code for dinner: Amores (Mexican), Sutra (Asian), Flame (Grill), Rain (Buffet) are now listed as Casual. Defined as: Casual: You´re on vacation-relax! Jeans, polo shirts, sundresses, and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the pool deck. Dress shorts are welcome for breakfast, lunch, and dinner She (couples only, small portions, set multiple course menu), Romanza (Italian), Sea Flirt (Seafood) are now listed as Smart Casual. Defined as: Smart Casual:Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collred shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats, and blazers are snazzy and welcome. I feel this was a fair compromise, and I do believe they did a better job defining the codes.
Really? We were there in mid Feb and everyone in Amores and Sutra still had long pants on. (I still think of Flame as a buffet) Maybe everyone was like us and not aware of the changes. Actually, I prefer the long pants at dinner for the better restaurants. Sam says that if I'm going to wear a sexy dress to dinner, he wants to at least look like he tried. Maybe everyone else felt the same way.
