So a small victory (in my opinion), with some updates regarding the dress code for dinner:

Amores (Mexican), Sutra (Asian), Flame (Grill), Rain (Buffet) are now listed as Casual.

Defined as: Casual: You´re on vacation-relax! Jeans, polo shirts, sundresses, and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the pool deck. Dress shorts are welcome for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

She (couples only, small portions, set multiple course menu), Romanza (Italian), Sea Flirt (Seafood) are now listed as Smart Casual.

Defined as: Smart Casual:Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collred shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats, and blazers are snazzy and welcome.

I feel this was a fair compromise, and I do believe they did a better job defining the codes.

Man, I must be way behind the times. Sport coats and blazers seem a little more than smart casual for a beach resort where people are nearly topless a majority of the time.

I never knew just eating a meal was such a social status thing?

We were there when the resort was sold out, ate supper at Sea Flirt around 8:00k’ish and there were maybe three other couple in there. I hope my long pants and collared shirt was enough for them? I did keep my elbows off the table, so that has to count for something.

Thanks for the info though. I did wear long pants to the Mexican last time, because I thought it was required.

Well I am sure this is different all over the country, and also probably has to do with your ethnic background, but yes eating a meal is a social status thing. It can be most of the respected and continued traditions of mankind.

It's says "Don't wear a hat indoors when eating you dope!" (exception being breakfast buffet on the way to the pool)

lol. I don't know what my ethnicity is, but I eat for the same reason I put fuel in my car. It keeps me going, so I can get somewhere. Now drinking, that's another story.

Little bit. Doesn't really get me maaadddd. I've been able to make it work.

Just kind of the absurdity of it. I mean, I read "nobody knows you, and nobody gives a shit" like a dozen times a day, and that really seams to be true when I'm there, but show your knees at dinner...?

I am Italian. So if you show up to Sunday dinner, and your dressed "Like a smacked ass", your going to get hear some shit from Mommom and Poppop, and you should probably join the kids table.

Exception being BBQs, where shirts to eat are 100% required, and white tank-tops are recommend.

Ah, the kids table, where nobody knows you, and.... yada yada. LOL

I always wear a shirt at BBQ'S too. How else am I supposed to wipe the sauce off the corners of my mouth?
