Just back last night...........they have begun to demo some rooms adjacent to the sexy pool........new exterior doors....looks like new window sizes....they demoed bathrooms removing existing tiles and breaking up concrete floors. Jackhammers are blazing! Essentially every thing (if you are standing on the beach) everything including Patty O's....to the left will be removed entirely and rebuilt. Everything on the opposite side of Patty O's and beyond will be completely rennovated! The new outdoor bar will be open to the ocean to take advantage of the ocean breeze. The bar their will be open all day.....with parties late nights as well. This new bar will NOT be called Patty O's. The management has the new name but won't share those details. These details were given to me by management. We observed the demo after being told by folks staying in the rooms above the demo work.
What sections are they demoing right now, 3000, 5000 areas?? I thought I heard that the 1000 area and quiet pool was going to stay. T
OK so you are saying that all that I have circled is going? I knew that main middle area was going, but wasn't sure what would stay on the far end by the quiet pool (but it would be odd on how you would half that section) I don't know that does seem a bit off to me, based on the numbers from the new rooms, it doesn't seem like enough of the old ones are staying. And I wonder if they are planning on a second pool?
That is EXACTLY what management told me! May be a matter of semantics........ new vs additional. The mock up shows a significant new structure containing many new rooms to replace existing rooms.......I expect the additional rooms will be there as well!
You can see the new pink swoop right behind Margaritas (in the pic it is right where 1301 room number is). So I believe this part is staying they where demoing doors into rooms and looked like widening I have pics but of course they are on my hubbys phone and he is at work. I will post later. Anyway back to my thought of that area is not totally being torn down but just having a major reno.
Just my thoughts.... Cab driver said the whole thing is being demolished but could be mistaken. We stayed in the 1000 area and honestly think they would have to do some miracle work of reno if they were going to try to salvage any of it.
Management told us that entire area was coming down. Some rooms over there were developed to show the owner what new rooms might/would look like. They told us that entire area had major plumbing and electrical inadequacy issues.
That's definitely not the case, I think the only sure thing we can say is that middle part is going, and bits and pieces on either side are staying(but we don't 100% know to what extent). Goodbye: 2000s, Sexy pool, buffet, check-in, PatyO's, spa, gym, sports pool, gift shop, timeshare office, and perhaps Margaritas.
