Well thanks to some others (Greg, Jim, Dan....) we don't have to do a detailed TR this year... (thanks guys!). But all in all simply an amazing week. First time there where it was in the mid 80's all week and not a single drop of rain... Highlights and Lowlights Highlights Like some others have said, I can't possibly list all the names of all the great people Joyce and I met this trip (including some wonderful newbies) so I won't even dare start. However I will make it a point to mention two couples from our October trip who joined our April group and made it that much better.. Thanks John (Doc) & Tina and Doug & Val. You and all the others from our week there (yeah even you backs13) made this yet another memorable trip. And thanks to John for providing the green glow in the dark bracelet. Also kudos to Woody and Kim (Partydoll) for planning all the evenings themes at Paty O's and keeping the April threads alive for what seemed to be an eternity. Boobs Cruise: WOW. Nuf said. Seriously, Steve and Janet continue to do an amazing job and this one was simply beyond description... (and I know there are enough photos to back this up). Nothing like venturing into a local bar on Isla and having the time of your life. One last comment- Jim and Canadian Keith as partners for the TP-plunger game..... Offsite dinners- 1st time we have ventured off site at nite to eat (except for Sergio's friday nite booze cruise ending up at Carlos & Charlie). The Rios steakhouse is amazing- it has evolved into a "Brazilian" steakhouse with ~20 courses of various types of meat... seriously- go there with an open mind and go on an empty stomach. Where else can you be offered Ostrich, Crocodile, Chicken Hearts and Frogs legs on top of the usual cuts of beef, pork, turkey and chicken. Of course going with a large fun group made it that much better. Had a 2nd meal at a small Italian restuarant in the high-end mall with the Aquarium. Huge portions for not too much $$. Alcohol infused whipped cream- WOW! There's nothing else like nipples and chocolate... Bartenders and wait-staff- cannot say enough of them. Cheers to the mimosas in the morning (to go with our wonderful omelets) to the sexy pool drinks made by Pedro and Tiger to the quiet pool drinks made by LuLu and Oliver to the Paty O's drinks made by Daniel and Victor and the sports bar drinks made by Alfredo.... Note- we've learned two things from a friend who is a DJ in Ocean City MD- 1- you can't drink all day unless you start in the morning and 2- those famous three words- PACE YOUR SELF! On-site food- Didn't get a chance this time to make reservations for either the Italian or Asian, but I think the food at the non reservation Margaritas and Bellavistas definitely have stepped up a notch. And of course the buffet is as good as ever. Oh- and you just can't beat those after midnight hot dogs and hamburgers at Paty O's.... Lowlights- SECURITY! Definitely put a damper for a few of our days down there. Who cares what happened the week/month before?? The following are the actual words that Joyce and I wrote on a piece of Temptation note paper (and stapled to) with the comment card that you turn in when you are checking out: "The resort is beautifully maintained. Delicious food and a friendly helpful staff- always a smile on their faces. We were extremely happy when Chinos returned from his vacation on monday- our last full day of vacation. When he was not there, this was not the "Temptations" resort that we are used to and we have come to enjoy time after time (note- this statement is about the overall atmosphere). Security had us feeling very uncomfortable and gave the impression that they were lurking around every corner which took alot away from the usual enjoyment that we normally have. We are hoping to go home and book our 9th trip to temptations in October. We will be reading about other vacation experiences on both Cancuncare and Trip Advisor and will see what direction the management decides to take. We hope it ends up to be the Temptation we have always enjoyed and come back to time after time- Namely the adult experience and a fun and relaxing holiday. Sincerely Ken and Joyce" We are hoping (but doubtful) we will get a response, but we needed to vent out and let them know our feelings. We know others spoke to management during the week and heard the various BS replies they were given. We hope that management makes the right decision and realizes why all of us multi-peaters come back time and time again. Well I said way in the beginning that this was wasn't going to be detailed... but.... sigh. We are definitely looking forward to writing another trip report for our upcoming October trip. K&J
Great tr. Did u notice the games had no profanity or nudity when Chinos was on vaca? That scares me a little for the future. Pleasure finally meeting you both
Dan- it was so obvious... seemed almost like 2 different resorts. I do like Jose but I wonder if he gives in to management and tones down the stuff when Chinos is away.
You "noticed" well Dan. I got there after you left,,, and my first morning trip to the sexy pool was met by welcomes from the staff, always a nice thing when they remember you. After the hello's were done, I was told by them that Management has made new rules, what they were and what games are changing and what games are being axed,, due said brief nudity, and yes the other is no profanity, followed by me laughing and saying " how is Chinos going to talk.. I dont think he knows he is swearing as much as he does" lmao
Ken and Joycie Yet another great trip with you guys, it is always a pleasure spending time with you two.. Sorry I had to chase joyce around to get her to dance and then give her the lap dance strip tease haha good times my friend... Im not sure if I should apologize to myself or to every one else for having to see me in that thong on the boat, or being violated by a large Canadian on the beach... Both seem to be great commercials for alcohol anonymous LOL but I wouldnt trade it for the world. Great Report
Ken and Joyce Excellent trip report!! Totally agree with how things were so different for a few days of our trip there with security etc. I have to say they didn't do a very good job of watching the balconies 24/7 haha. We also expressed our concerns to management and written on comment card. hopefully it will be back to the way it was our previous 12 visits to TTR. The April group is a great group-lots of fun -very nice people docnnurse
Thanks for the report and the "heads-up" for the May group. Hopefully they will take the hint and chill a bit.
