Yankees to play Cubs to open their new Ballpark

I think this is a great idea, the cubs are a HUGE draw, and obviously everyone wants to be at the first ever baseball game at yankee stadium. Even though its just a practice game............ I am still happy for my cubs!

Already looking forward to going to one of those two games. That's if I can find affordable tickets.

thats the truth right there....I myself have too many memories of Yankee stadium...although not all of them good ones

I figured the yanks would play the sox to break the new ground though....cubs are a good choice as well

 

y wouldnt they just wait and have the first game there as a reg season opening day game? the 1st 2 games there and its gonna be like who cares it is pre-season and then its gonna be opening day and it will be like well we already have played 2 games here, its kinda like opening your christmas presents on december 23rd, just doesnt make sense to me

I figure that it is a test run of all the stadium systems and facilities. It's better to test those things on a game that does not matter towards the season.

 

That & 2 more games is that much more revenue. Those greedy bastards :evil:
