The Mayan Riviera is a beautiful, lush garden of jungle that meets the white sand beaches of the Caribbean Sea. In the heart of this is Xel-Ha, an eco-park in the totally natural jungle setting. Xel-Ha is a protected inlet filled with tropical fish and fresh water cenotes. This combination makes the natural aquarium of Xel-Ha a snorkelers dream come true. There is only one type of entrance ticket: All Inclusive. That means that all of your food (6 restaurants), drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), towels, lockers, & snorkeling equipment rental are all included. You also have full use of the showers and changing rooms. Xel-Ha is handicapped accessible with wheelchair rentals available. Getting to Xel-Ha from Cancun is pretty easy on the public tour. It leaves daily with pickups at most hotels between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. When you arrive to the park your guide will get your bracelet and give you a map of the park. Then you are on your own to eat, swim, snorkel, float, jump, zip line into the water and so much more! There is a $25 deposit to get your snorkel gear. You get that back once you return all your gear. Be sure to bring cash for that and biodegradable sunblock because any other type of sunblock is banned from use inside the park. The tour leaves Xel-Ha at 5:00 PM. Optional activities inside Xel-Ha are Swimming with Dolphins, Dolphin Trek, Manatees, Stingrays and more! More info on these activities can be found here. Very close to Xel-Ha park is the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Mexico. We have a combo tour that takes you to Tulum for 2 hours, then the rest of the day at Xel-Ha. This is a great combo if you want to see the Mayan ruins, but not a full day of it like with Chichen Itza. Make everyone happy with the Tulum & Xel-Ha tour!
