Thinking of booking in November....will anyone be there or will there be folks to party and hang out with? Don't want to be the only ones there!
There is a great group call the Chaos Crew the last week of November / first week of December. Lots of fun and great theme nights. Check out the thread http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...6-chaos-crew-nov-dec-2012-roll-call-chat.html :lotsofmichaelfs:
You run a lot of risk going to TTR in late Oct.-early Nov. with tropical storms, probably better to go closer to Thanksgiving or after - the resort is a lot better and more fun without storm disruptions!!
You have very little to worry about. There is no such thing as a REAL quiet time at TTR...:aktion033:....I was once there after Hurricane Wilma had hit. When we had arrived the resort had recently re opened and there were more staff there than guest. It was my most memorable trip to TTR...You will have a great time in November.:aktion069:
I'm not sure, but I heard that the ONLY time to be there is from July 10th-17th.... Just a rumor, but where there's smoke???
Hopefully not to boring! We will be there with 2 other couples from the 15-22, when are you planning yours?
We are looking at Nov 9-16, but not sure about the weather. We usually go in Jan, but I want to go for my birthday this time.
4th time We're booked Nov. 5-15. This is our 4th time to TTR and always in Novemeber. Never has been an issue with weather and usually a little warmer than Dec/Jan/Feb. Also has been been typically full or near capacity. November usually is the tail end of hurricane season. Last year there was a hurricane threatening Cancun about a week or two before our trip but nothing developed and was sunny and warm our whole trip. We also spring for the trip insurance just in case something comes up since I book so far in advance. artytime:
I'm a Chaos Crew member and found the last week of November a bit chilly. Would love to go earlier in November, but I'm paranoid about the weather. I was originally booked for the 2nd week of October 2011, and cancelled. I was watching the weather really closely all of October and November, and it seemed that there was WAY too much rain in October, and hit and miss in November. I look forward to my holidays too much to be faced with cancelling them at the last minute due to weather. There is NOTHING to do at the resorts when it rains. They are just not set up for indoor fun. But as someone else said, buy cancellation insurance and the odds are you will get lucky most Novembers.
