We are booking a Temptation Suite with Drops of Love, any room suggestions? We want a quiet location with a killer view, and the best room in the most upgraded condition. Are there any clothing items or other things I should bring that I may not think to bring? How much should we tip people, and do we need to tip in pesos or do they prefer American dollars? Are all the menu items from every restaurant available for room service as part of the Drops of Love, or is it limited what you can order? I don't like lobster (I know, I'm weird, but I don't like any fish or shellfish at all) - will they allow a substitute for the Drops of Love dinner? Do we really get a reserved spot on the beach with the suite? Is there a better Mayan ruins tour? Do we need to book before we go? We just don't know what day we'll feel like going so were not wanting to book too far in advance, unless that really is the better way to not get ripped off. We don't like large groups and would prefer not to be gone more than 8 hours (and not too early in the morning either). Any suggestions? Anything else we should know before we go? We love to party and have also been to swinger parties in Seattle, where we live. None of that scares us, looking forward to hanging out with like-minded people - but we do want a quiet room to chill when we want privacy. Just wondered if there was anything else you guys think I wouldn't know to prepare for or wouldn't think about and would kick myself later about - thanks for any suggestions ...

We are Michael and Shelly - and the Drops of Love package says it includes room service for all meals - it better for the price we are paying! We are really looking forward to the trip!
We did drops of love....you will get room service....you can substitute but tell them in advance...no reserved spot on the beach...only premiere members have a reserved area....if your looking at chitzin itza...or tulum...they are all day tours...usually leaving around 7-8am and not returning until 5-6...take plenty of water...very hot in the jungle at chitzin itza...you can book smaller groups...10-12 ppl in a van....rather than the large tour bus...I think there are only 2? Temptation suites (the ones with the jacuzzi in the room not on the balcony) so your pretty much take what they give you there...if it is just the regular jacuzzi suite...more of a choice...all overlook quiet pool...ground floor....the further from nice shoes the better if you want quiet....Have a Great Time...anything you forget you can get there...your already bringing the most important thing....a great attitude...
We did order pizza delivery one day tho. Temptations wouldn't let me bring food from the restaurants to the room for Paul, so we got a pizza delivered instead! No room service (without drops of love) is kind of a bummer tho, it's one of the things I wish they would change. D
Great to see some more Northwest people here! I understand that the Drops rooms are great however I am not sure you can get a specific room, more like what is available even if you request it. Other than the theme nights if you go to Party City you can pick up glow sticks and glow paint for Glow night – may be hard to find if not impossible down there. Drinks at the bar in Paty O’s or the pool - $1 each time you go up however I found that if you tip more they will remember your drink and pass it over people who tip less or don’t! We brought $100 in singles. Also make sure you tip the staff that will pick up your room. They will make sure you have a well stocked fridge and a clean room. Not sure about what is available for room service but its way more fun getting out and seeing everyone! Mayan tours – Just go through TTR, last thing they want to do is to send you on a bad trip, they will take care of you. Going there knowing you just want to have a great time is huge! TTR is more I think on the swaying side than swinger but there is a good mix throughout but not over the top evident. I think there is more like minded than people that aren’t. [FONT="]We had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the quiet pool, 3rd floor is nice and quiet with reduced foot traffic and people just walking by. Anything near Paty O’s or the Sexy pool will be louder.[/FONT]
