There is/was a bill in the Virginia General Assembly to give a grant of $3,750 to single first time homebuyers who purchased a home before July 1, 2009 and a movement afoot in Congress to make that $7,500 Federal "tax credit" just a straight payment to first-time homebuyers purchasing said home before July 1, 2009.
