What room #'s are your favorites and why? This is our first trip to TTR. We will be leaving in 5 days and would like to request a great room.
. going in 17 days. what rooms face the sexy pool? we requested one on our reservations, but thats not guaranteed. last one faced the sports pool.
3408, for members but with so few people there you could as for it an maybe get it. A lot of stairs to climb but worth the view. Do not take the welcome tour the day after you arrive, a waste of 1/2 day of your vacation!!!!!! Terry
Being Brits we always get the crap rooms over looking the car park etc. I think it's because we book 14 nights at a time so we prob pay less per night than those who go for 4 or 5 days etc. It's a tad gutting but as long as we're there we don't care lol xxx
Definitely our favorite, and it is not like I don't need the exercise. The best location for spending some quality time on the balcony
On May 23rd - 27th, My boyfriend and I were in room# 1349 which is located at the quite pool area. We were able to see the ocean and the sun rise every morning during our stay since the room is on the 3rd floor. The room was very clean, the A/C worked perfectly, and there was no odor in the room. The only thing we didn't like about our room was it had 2 queen beds in the room. But honestly it was fine, we slept perfectly in one of the queen beds. We could have had a room with a king bed if I was patient but we took a red-eye flight the day of our trip and I needed a room badly so I couldn't wait to 3pm in the afternoon for a room. However next time we come now, we will make sure to book a flight that arrives at Cancun around 1:00pm not 11:00am morning. Candice & Gustavo :daveandmo:
Unless you are a sound sleeper, avoid the rooms around the Paty'O Bar area. It can get really loud there until 3am or so. We had 1216 last trip and after 3 nights asked to be moved. When the people came back from the clubs they hung out in that area even though the bar closed at 1am.
TNJ - Terry is so right about the welcome tour. Don't waste your time going to the appointment unless you are looking to do that kind of business on your trip. They do have nice time share packages there as I have heard from people who have them. However when we arrived at the lobby, we was told to see this lady over to the left as she has a "welcome" package to give us. We went to her, she welcome us and told us all about the resort which was fine. Then she told us that the resort would like to give us a "VIP Welcome Breakfast" and a tour of the resort. We of course said okay and she schedule a time for us to meet her for breakfast. Then we heard from our Funjet representative and other people that she is a sells person for time share for the resort. So we blew off our appointment with her and just head out to the pool area to enjoy our vacation. :daveandmo:
We were in that area for two consecutive trips, and asked to be moved after the first night of the second trip. The first floor rooms are super convenient for walking to the sexy pool, but banging and clanging of pots and pans from the food area by Paty'Os is unbearable.
