    Good morning all,

Me and a friend, both aged 29 yrs, are looking to book a 2 week all inc holiday to Cancun within the next 6 weeks or so.

What we want to know is this. Which hotel would be best for us? We are both 29, recently single blokes looking to relax in the sun, drink a fair amount (beer & cocktails I guess) and meet people of a similar age. We are also big football fans and would like to keep in touch with english football games on the tv (sports bar?).
From reading reviews on trip advisor etc, I thought the Riu Cancun would be best, but have also been reading that the Oasis cancun is a party hotel for under 30's which sounds perfect although it has got some shocking reviews along with it?

We would be there for 2 weeks from early ish December till just before christmas. I am told it should be around 30 degrees c at that time. Now i understand it won't be as busy as this renowned spring break time? but is it likely to be fairly busy. I was under the impression that Cancun was an all year round resort. Isd this the case?

Would love to hear from anyone who could enlighten me a little

    Thanks
    xxx

Yes Cancun is pretty much a year round resort, it does get quieter at certain times of the year - but it never becomes a ghost town like many resorts in Europe do.

As for hotels, any of the Riu's would suit you. You might enjoy Temptation too, slightly older crowd but a hell of a party. The Oasis is a bit cheap and cheerful and I doubt would be busy with party people that time of year.

For the footy, just head to Pat O Briens, they have very good coverage of English footy.

    Steve,

Thanks for replying. I have had a look at Temptations, not sure what we'll do but it seems fairly well regarded as its the 26th top rated hotel in Cancun on Tripadvisor. I guess most hotels will have there fair share of younger people who get chatting round pool bars etc.

With any luck it will be fairly lively in December-I've gone without a holiday all year for this! Just waiting for prices to drop before booking. I presume if me and my mate book one appartment, do you get one appartrment with two seperate bedrooms within it?

The Riu Cancun is £1136 p/p currently so is going down in price.Whatever I decide, I'll post it on here and may even go on one of your boob cruises!

    Thanks.

You'd have a blast at Temptations, it's probably the most sociable hotel in Cancun where everyone talks to everyone. Also has the highest rate of returners for any hotel in Cancun and is still busy when other places are quiet. There are no kids and although the average age might be a little higher than yours there will still be tons of people your age there.

As for the room thing, well it's a hotel room not an apartment with different rooms:) But they will allocate a room that has two double beds rather than one king size so you wont have to sleep in the same bed as your mate, just the same room.

You might want to check out these recent reports and see if it's somewhere you might enjoy:
