Hello Everyone, The wife and I will be returning for our 5th trip in Nov. We want to split our 2 week vacation between Temptation and The Isla of Mujeres. We have been on the Island 5 times with Steves Boobs Cruise but cant remember shit ! We are looking for a place to stay and need your help. We are looking for the following: Cheap $. Bahia Tortuga Boutique Hotel & Marina - Isla Mujeres - Mexico Bahia tortuga. Small, 8 room hotel.. Nice little pool, nice little bar.. Cheap place. Its typically one of our isla bar hopping stops, and we keep saying our crew is going to rent the place out for a few days to wind down at the end of our TTR trips... But we never have lol
We've heard great things about Villa Kim... 50 or 60 bucks a night Do not stay at Hotel Posada Del Mar a real dump..customer service sucks we would never go back.
We always vaca for 10 days; 3 on Isla, 7 at TTR. 2 B&B'S we have stayed at are Villa La Bella (see Curtis and Ashley) it is beautiful, clean and they serve an awesome breakfast. 3 rooms on the first floor are right by the pool and the rooms upstairs are unbelievable. Check them out on the internet. The other is the Soggy Peso they also have 3 room by the pool and this is where all the expats come to drink and share stories (ie. lie). It is a blast. (See Mal and Sally). Just down the road 100 yards from Soggy is Barilitos which is also owned by an American it is a little more expensive but very nice. These places are like stepping back 20 years in Cancun. Very relaxing and fun...Enjoy Pam& Barry
