    Hey everyone...

Me and my best friend are planning on going to Cancun the first week of June. We have been twice on SB, but this yr we couldn't get our act together in time, so we are going to go to celebrate our college graduation instead.

Anyone recommend a place for two young women? (We are 23). We want somewhere nice, but where young people who like to party would be. I'm not sure what its like not during SB...We don't want to be surrounded by families who aren't down with partying.

We are also a bit nervous b/c we have always gone with a big group, and there will only be two of us this time. We want to find a place where there will be other people who we can meet and hang with.

    Thanks :D

Would you prefer to stay at an All Inclusive resort where meals, beverages and room are all covered under the same price. It's a little more expensive, but if you plan to spend a lot of time around the resort eating and drinking, then it can be a very cost effective way to go. If not All Inclusive, then you will need suggestions for European Plan (room only) resorts.

The overall dilema with All Inclusives is that they do tend to attract families with children. That being said, you can stay at an adults only property, or a high end AI that does not attract families with kids. but they mostly attract couples. Please get back with your preference?

We definitely want to stay in an all inclusive resort. I have stayed in two AIs and they have ruined me for life! Now I don't want to stay at any resorts that are not all inclusive!

I have stayed in Cancun Palace and Park Royal. Cancun Palace was amazing, but now it is over our budget ($1,500). Park Royal was nice, but we want something nicer this time around.

I really like Dreams and Riu Palace Americas but from what I've read it seems like it would be all families and couples?

Ideally want want to find the nicest resort possible, but one that we would fit in well (not only couples and families with young children).

    Dilemma, dilemma!

I would suggest Riu Las Americas.

It's a huge hotel and you are bound to find other people your age there, also located right next to the party centre. I walked by there a couple of days ago and it seemed there was a lot of fun going on poolside.

I agree that the Riu Palace Las Americas (RPLA) is a fantastic resort with amazing food and services. The advantage to staying at the RPLA is that you can use all the facilities at the next door sister resort Riu Cancun. This priveledge does not work the other way around. If RPLA is above your budget, you should consider the Riu Cancun as it is a very nice, modern resort and with excellent food and services as well. While All Inclusives tend to attract families with children, the Riu Canun does have a "Quiet" pool area that is separate from the larger more active pool area. Other resorts you should consider that will have fewer families with children include:

Dreams Resort-offers an on premises dolphin program
NH Krystal-this resort offers a unique Dine Around program where AI guests can dine off premises at participating establishments.
    Sunset Royal
Le Blanc Spa Resort-adults only with mostly couples
The Royal in Cancun-this resort is also adults only, so perhaps the next door Gran Caribe Real would be the better choice. This is usually an active hotel however it does tend to attract families.
    Barcelo Tucancun
    Golden Parnassus-adults only, mostly couples.

I recommend you start investigating these resorts first. If you need more suggestions then please let us know.

    Have fun planning your vacation,

Thanks for all of the advice guys! We are sitting down tonight and deciding.

Now we are thinking that we may want to stay somewhere that is a bit less expensive (i.e Park Royal) for two weeks instead. Basically we could do 1 week at one of the Rius, or two weeks at somewhere that is not as expensive.

I want to go somewhere really nice, but two weeks in Cancun would be amazing!

Certainly would opt for extra week in Cancun if it means maybe a little less luxuary.
