Due to the Canadian dollar being so low at the moment, what sites seem to be giving the best prices?

The currency exchange rate is brutal right now, but can't see that changing much in the near future. Unless you have travel points to use like javacouple, I have found pkg pricing through broker agencies like ITRAVEL, or REDTAG might be a good place to start. Pricing quoted is in Canadian funds, and by comparing the pkg price to what round trip flights would cost, it gives you a idea of what you're paying on a nightly basis for the hotel.

We have consistently used travelocity.ca without any issues.

We did a couple things differently for our upcoming April trip to save a bit of cash... We shortened our stay by a night or 2 and when booking our flights we looked for the days with the cheapest flights. We ended up booking 9 nights departing on a Sunday and returning home on a Tuesday.

Just browsing expedia.ca earlier today for our dates and found pricing on there ($3150 cdn) that beats a referral week from our contract (roughly $1000 cdn for air + 9 nights / $195 usd = ~ $3300 cdn).

Deals are fewer and far between ,, less competition from Alpha rooms and more from Referrals ,, speculation.

Next year will definitely be my last year I do 2 trips if prices don't go down.
    year over year,

exchange rate .88 a year ago or $1,14 to buy 1 usd

today .75 or $1.33 to buy 1 usd

so to buy 1 USD today cost us CDN .19 more or 19% more

so a $3000 package Booked Nov 2014, booked today = $3570,, reflecting just the added exchange rate .

Add to that rates have gone up and no deals out there :(

That seems to be the going rate... we're booked for 10 night stay in April and it worked out to 3300.00 and change canadian at time of booking. That was through Sunquest flying with Westjet.
