so my husband and I are really looking forward to this trip. We are headed to Temptation at the beginning of October. We haven't been on vacation just the 2 of us in many years and will not be able to again for a while. I was very excited about the resort but now am contemplating changing to another one because I feel a lot of things aren't finished, rooms aren't done, certain restaurants/jacuzzi not open, etc. I don't want to be short changed on this rare trip for us. With that said, do u guys feel that in the next month a lot of these things will be worked out? Thanks for the input.
The grand opening is October 16th, I imagine by the beginning of October everything will essentially be done.
I am hoping so too. We will be there 10/3 to 10/7. With grand reopening on 10/16, I would think they will be at least 95% done with everything. Not too concerned.
My first thought was to tell you that many of us hope the "kinks" never get worked out because we go to Temptation to be a little kinky. But then I realized you meant when will all the construction issues be fixed? I think the best answer is that no one knows. They apparently make progress every day. I am pretty sure that they would love to have most things done by the opening party in October. But I doubt even the owner could tell if that will happen. But as @wild1s said, it really isn't that big a deal as the best part of Temptation is the people and those that have been there since the reopening are almost unanimous about the fact that in spite of any limitations, they had a blast.
your trip will be a blast. Here's a solution, turn any construction-based "kinks" you find into a drinking game. If your hot tub does not have knobs, that's a shot for you both to do. If the room's A/C unit goes on the fritz, another shot. Lights don't work in the bathroom? A shot. No hot water, shot. And so on. You'll soon find that you no longer care about the construction kinks and are all about the .... other ... kinks!
