Hello all TTR beauties! We are wanting to book a week at TTR and are having a hard time deciding between first part of March or April. I want hot weather and to be able to enjoy the pool with very little on. My hubby wants to escape the cold of Canada.... when do the pools actually become a nice temp? I’ve read about the warm jets around the pools but I want to be able to enjoy it all! TIA
Hey! We’re from Canada too and this coming March (February 28 to March 7) will be our first trip to TTR but not our first in Mexico at this time of the year. Pool will be warm enough and weather will be nice, nothing to worry about, that’s been our experience. We’d be happy to meet you there for a drink or two!
Hey! We're from the Ottawa region and we can say that any temperature in Cancun is better than shoveling snow and ice sickles hanging from your nose. We went last Jan-Feb and the first day we got there was a bit cool and rainy but the other 6 days were mid to high 20s (maybe 30s cause everything and everyone felt really hot! ) and the pool was excellent. We like to escape the big cold as well but we hear that any time is a good time at TTR.
We found that on sunny days the pool was bath water warm. On cloudy days it was notably cooler. Not quite cold but definitely several degrees cooler, so it will depend on how much sun you get. We went late September this year. There have been debates on whether or not the pool is heated but ultimately the amount of sun is the determining factor.
Thank you fellow Canadians !! I realize that anything is better than our snow and cold... it sounds like any time is a good time at TTR I think we’re leaning towards first part of March so I will join the appropriate group once booked!! So looking forward to this trip!!
Was definitely not heated this past week. We had great weather, but if the sun went under the pool was quite cold. It’s just crazy that they can’t keep it warm. I talked to people that said they were there in June, and it was so cold on some overcast days that hardly anyone was in the pool, but there was like 50 people crammed in the hot tub. The pool is the central point of the resort, and it just doesn’t work the way it should.
