Went to TTR 5 years ago and not new to the all inclusive vacation. But do have a few questions. 1. Saw the theme nights on the website. lingerie night was big last time. Other than that seemed to be sporadic. As of lately any of the others we should prepare for? 2. Anything new we should be aware of in terms of rooms, drinks, pools, activities etc. We got the jacuzzi room like last time, know about that time share and premier club gimmicks. Also have the Boobs Cruise booked as we did it last night.
1) Feb Shitshow has our own theme night thread. 2019 SHITSHOW THEME NIGHTS- February 16 to 22 2) Sorry can’t help you there.
I think the lack of response is because the questions are so general and broad. 1. I would say prepare for any of the theme nights you want. Whichever ones pique your interest. For us we like white night and like it when it is combined with glow. Sheer can work for any night you wish w a twist so love to throw some sheer in there. Really just like before where you can participate in what you want or go the sexy club wear approach for those you don’t. 2. What is new in the 5 years since you have last been? I really can’t think of anything at all. Oh yeah they added a new bathroom by the pool but that is about it Sorry couldn’t resist. I would suggest checking out the threads on here and even the resort website if possibly you don’t realize the resort shut down for almost a year for renovations and a new tower
Thanks. I knew of the shutdown and understand how TTR works and resorts in general. Just curious on anything new or quick tips of sorts I guess. Last time theme nights like I said maybe one or two were popular. Thanks for the help
Here would be my top 10 ‘anything new’ list ... 10. There is a new gym which is much better than the old gym. 9. There are several new restaurants including a seafood in the location of the old Asian spot, a new Asian restaurant that also has hibachi and a couples only restaurant with a fixed multi course menu called she. We enjoyed the escape of she and eating something different. Some don’t like it because well there are not choices and it is a long meal. There is also a steakhouse which is part of the buffet area but we have never been in our 3 trips to the new TTR due to the many bad reviews. 8. Hooray most restaurants no longer require reservations. Just she and hibachi. 7. There is a new coffee bar that actually serves adequate coffee (per my wife) and snacks which includes various sweets (per me) 6. The tower has a new room option called Master Suites. 6 of them. Advantage is they are on the end of the horseshoe shaped tower closest to the ocean with a huge balcony and 6 person jacuzzi. Also has sitting area in the room . Floors 2-4 5. The tower has a new room option called Penthouse. Also on the ends but floors 5-6. 4 in total. Have the same 6 person jacuzzis but the seating area is larger and includes a bar and stripper pole. Bedroom is actually in a separate room. 4. Sexy pool is like 3-4 times larger. I like it as the water doesn’t get as sess pool like as the old smaller pool. Some don’t like it because it is deeper and spreads out the party further. Like the old TTR the bar has an in pool and out of pool option. There are more shade options than the old TTR. 3. Bash replaced Patty O’s. Much bigger, open air, not as hot as old place. Larger bar. Raised dance floor. And yes late night burgers still exist. And the sports bar is also new and much better than the old sports bar. Better tv’s, more space and games and better air flow. 2. There is a pool and bar on the roof of the tower. Amazing view. Great food for lunch. Two actually hot jacuzzis. Good music. But not normally crowded or the same party as the sexy pool and closes at 6. Also costs $20 a day if not staying in the tower. Closed on mondays I believe. 1. There is a general public hot tub which was always a big missing element of the old ttr. Negative is it closes at 7.

Had a medium rare ribeye there last night. Was a little overdone, but still good. My table mates also liked their cuts. Time will tell if Flame has finally figured things out or not, but it was much improved over my last time there

It is definitely thinner and has a different texture. Of course I like steak more med-well to well so overcooking is not usually an issue, I like it myself but it is certainly different than most Americans are used to, especially at the better steak houses.
