Our first visit to Mexico for Christmas and we are looking at booking an excursion or heading out to adventure and curious if anyone has insight into what Christmas Day looks like in Cancun? Will things be open or will it be mostly quiet and shut down for the holiday? Any insight would be great! See you late Saturday evening
Really good question... We're curious too. We were in Puerto Plata for Christmas last year... Everything touristy was open, the only difference was that the traffic was much lighter. Haha. I guess we'll find out in a few days. Grin.
Mexicans mainly celebrate at midnight on the 24th, so are often hungover on the 25th I would expect most of the larger tours will be running, but would you really want to go on Christmas Day? I'm sure there will be special things going on at the hotel, including the food.
