Ok, so I have been "researching" on here and have an overall idea, but still have a few more questions. First of all, does everybody REALLY wear only thongs in the pool? Cause I attempted to go "suit" shopping last night and found nothing that fit me. Electrique Boutique only had one size fits all....yea, my booty is not a one size fits all kinda booty...lol...perhaps that means I am one of the ones that shouldn't be wearing them....haha.... Can yall give me a rundown of a typical day at Tempations as far as what to wear goes? Obviously suit and coverup/casual for pool and lunch. What about dinner and the after dinner festivities? Do you wear one thing(nice) to dinner and then go change into something different for the club? Do people wear really sexy stuff for that? How do theme nights fit in and when, both the resort ones and the ones we planned on here? Do we stay in those "costumes" all night? or do we change? Do you normally meet after dinner? I guess my main question/concern is how many things for each night and when do you do all the changing? I need to know logistics, here!! lol I'm totally stressing out about this and I shouldn't be....I really just wanna sit in the "sexy pool" and in the words of the Zac Brown band... Redhead -in- Texas I will try to help you as much as I can. The wearing a thong is real popular around the sexy pool and don't worry you look great and will fit in perfect. As for dressing sexy for the night, most of the women do dress sexy. Just remember you are on vacation where no one knows you and no one gives a Shit.Go have the best time of your life. Lets see: Sexy Pool - I'd say at least 3/4 of the women are topless. I'd say maybe 1/2 wear thongs, others normal bottoms. All shapes, sizes and ages. Believe me, you'll relax after a few hours. For dinners and such, its a whole wide range. Some women are casual, some wear elegant stuff, some sexy elegant and some just extremely sexy. I've seen stuff you'd see in a normal restaurant, and I've seen stuff worn that leaves little to the imagination. As far as changing for the "club", Nice Shoes has events, but its normally not very active (at least when I have been). For the events, there are themes, otherwise it would be typical clubbing attire. Most theme events - you change for them and change after. Although Darcy wore her lingerie outfit for an hour or so before at the bar, and another hour or so afterwards. This is a link to two pages of pics from our 2008 trip. Hey! We're from DFW as well and we just got back from our first trip to Temptation on July 15. We had a really good time. Not trying to tout my thread but I'd suggest you take a look at our thread in that it details the trials and tribulations of our first trip to Temptation. I think it'll give you a good sense of what to expect. A LOT varies on the day of the week (we think). We're bummed we weren't there over a weekend as we surmise it gets a little crazier. Monday and Tuesday seemed slow and things started to pick up on Wed-Thurs You WILL NOT feel out of place if you are not wearing a thong. We saw some but it certainly didn't seem mandatory. We think that is one of the great things about Temptation. You really NEVER feel out of place....no matter what. want to wear a normal bikini all the time? Cool. Want to wear a naormal bikini bottom and no top? Fine. Want to wear a thong and no top? Fine as well. People at Temptation aren't really there to judge. They are there to drink, let loose and have fun. As for nightwear, wife wore a cute but pedestrain dress to dinner and dancing on Monday. On Tuesday, she wore an awesome red dress (from Electrique Boutique!) on Tuesday and kept it on from dinner thru the club. (Not to be crass but those dresses kind of require a no bra, no panties routine) A pink Electrique Boutique dress was the style for Wednesday dinner and dancing. We skipped dinner on Thursday but her Frederick's of Hollywood corset and stockings were suffificient for the lingerie party and dancing til 1:00 am at Patty O's. Some ladies changed after the lingerie party into more conservative attire but wife had had plenty to drink and was fine to strut her stuff in front of everyone while in lingerie. No one complained. So...don't stress. And have fun. And if you plan to go to lingerie night, have hubby buy some fancy new boxers because that is all he can wear...literally. Shirts aren't allowed and swimsuits don't cut it. PM us with other newbie questions. We had a great time but came away much better equipped for Round 2 in a year. You are going to have a lot of fun but I GUARANTEE there will be times you are like, "Really??? This is so boring." And other times you will be like, "AWESOME!" That is just the way Temptation is. Tempting but not necessarily demanding.
Hi Redhead--I was pretty anxious packing for our first trip in June, too, so I feel your pain. The other posters are right--you'll fit in no matter what you choose to wear--or not to wear! But if you're stressing, you probably want to stand out a little.:xyxthumbs: Bathing suits: Take at least three for a week since it's humid and nothing dries. After that, it's anything goes. I wore my top about 50 percent of the time. I'd say 75 percent of women were topless each day, and only about 30 percent were in thongs. Wear whatever makes your tush look its most fabulous! (I like the scrunch-butt styles I got here: SWIMWEAR: Shop Womens Sexy Swimwear & Very Sexy Bikinis from $19.50! | Flirt Catalog) Regular nights: I never changed at night. Not only did I not want to miss anything, but dressing drunk is never a good idea! None of the women we were hanging out with did, either. I WAY overpacked...I took 12 dresses for seven nights some simple sundresses, and some short, tight, sparkly things I wouldn't let my mom see. I went casual 2 nights, "classy slutty" the rest. Darcy's photos are spot-on. Anyway, you'll be perfectly comfortable in the restaurants and Paty-O's in somthing tight and short with lots of cleavage. Bring some serious shoes, too! If you're going to any of the Cancun clubs, go all out--serious skin, serious bling, serious heels. Theme nights: lingerie night was the only major one while we were there. We wore our lingerie at Paty-O's the rest of the night, but many other people did change after the official "event."
