What do the women wear in the evening. Do they wear lingerie only on lingerie night. I want to wear something sexy and revealing but don't want to be out of place. When we were at Hedo and Desire anything goes. Is this the same here? Most of the night photos I have seen at this website the women were wearing cute, but "regular" dresses.
I have never seen a woman wear lingerie on any night other than lingerie night. In the evenings, it is mostly sexy clothing, but I have seen all types. Sometimes people are really casual, other times glitter dresses/see through, etc...I say wear what you want and if someone doesn't like it...they can stick it :aktion040: (which I think is the general consensus of most of the people on this forum and people who are at the resort Have fun! When are you going? If you haven't already make sure you sign up on the roll call so you meet lots of people before you get there - it's more fun that way! artytime: ~Jill~
Dress as sexy as you want .....noone will complain. Most will wear sexy outfits most every night. No one will judge you just do what you want and all will be good. Rob
Hi Michelle! Some women dress casually, and wear capris or cotton sundresses at night. Some put on the dog every night. I fall into the latter category (probably cuz I don't get out much at home!). I bring a week's worth of Lycra minidresses, which pack really well without wrinkling cuz I DON'T IRON ON MY HOLIDAYS . And coordinating 5" stilletto heels, of course. lingerie is only for lingerie night (or balcony shows ). Also, watch for the threads here for the theme nights that will be taking place while you are there. Participating in the theme nights is great way to get to know Cancuncare people. Have a great trip!
I brought 3 sarongs and cycled through them most days/nights - didn't wear a bra or panties the entire trip (other than going to Chichen Itza)! You can tie sarongs a lot of different ways to make them long or short, and they can be dressed up or down pretty easily with the right shoes and jewelry. In the heat/humidity, they are perfect, and they pack really easily. Bringing a few of those, together with lingerie, something for white night, a school girl outfit, and a few other dresses that don't wrinkle - along with 2-3 bathing suits - and you are set! If there is glow night, bring some neon necklaces if you can get them. My husband was turned on every night knowing I was commando under my sarongs too - and I may have flashed him once or twenty times
I wear clothes that I would NEVER wear at home, sexy, tarty, call it what you want! Hubby loves it! All the mini dresses save on packing space! :rainfro:
You guys left too early in June! :sunny: There is a definite double standard. Women can get away with anything. My outfit on my last night there (not lingerie night. I blame tequila) consisted of a fringed bra, ruffled underpants, and 5" stripper shoes. A friend was in pasties and a schoolgirl kilt. The guys came out in boxers, though, and security made them go put on shirts (Todd came back in my bikini top...security was NOT amused.) The beautiful thing, though, is you truly can wear whatever you're feeling. I'm like Matchandahalf--I take the opportunity to wear stuff I wouldn't dare at home. But I totally understand if people want to chill in t-shirts and flip flops. We're ALL on vacation, and at TTR that means we respect everyone's choices.
Okay...I guess I haven't seen it all then. I wish I were there to see that! :huepfen021: Your husband cracks me up! He is totally the life of the party:rainfro: ~Jill~
