I have been to cancun once before but that was way back in 2007. Last time I recall wearing polos and shorts to the clubs. I'm thinkin this time (going from march 17-22 riu cancun) I should class it up a bit. Thinking nice button downs with jeans and nice shoes. As they say go big or go home! What is everyone else planning on wearing to clubs down there?
I went the past two years and both occasions i wore a vest and shorts. As its just too warm. These arnt vests and shorts I'd wear to the gym there much nicer, designer etc. Didnt have any issues. One guy turned up with a nice shirt and jeans and looked smart. However 2 hours into the night his shirt was wet through and when he squeezed passed (as the clubs get busy) it wasn't very pleasant. like being wiped with a wet sponge of sweat. I'd rather remain dry and in place then smart for 2 hours of your night.
I don't remember but are there clubs that have specific dress codes or are they all pretty lax with what you can wear? I guess I'll have a supply of both pants and shorts and see how the nighttime weather is and go from there.
