Hey folks, I'm planning a solo vacation over the week of Christmas this year and eyeing Temptation as my destination. I'm queer (bi and nonbinary) and single. Since I'll be traveling alone I would hope to make some new friends and have a good time on my trip, but I get a bit of an anti-singles vibe from these forums. So just wondering, what can I expect from TTR as a single queer person? Also, aside from that--can anyone talk about their experiences visiting the resort over the Christmas holidays? (Is it dead? Cold? More fun? etc.) Thanks, Austin
Check this singles post: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/threads/single-guy-first-timer-perspective-from-nanners.37941/ In the several trips I've been there, your persuasion is less of an issue than your actions. We've hung out with several L/G couples and singles over the years. If you're sensitive, you may notice a couple unfriendly people, but by far, most are pretty open and nice. I can't speak to holiday vibe, but cold is relative. You can search for temperature history to compare.
Austin, we go over the Xmas to New Years time period. We find it to be tons of fun, but my wife makes a party anywhere she goes. TTR is the most non-judge mental place we know of, will there be a few douches of course, but 95% are amazing fun people. That said TTR is what you make of it, if your not a social person you may find it difficult because friends form quickly. The temperature is always warm, 80s during the day, 70 or so at night, which compared to Denver will be awesome. They are def busier times to go, but it’s not dead. NYs it will be sold out.
Sorry forgot to answer the singles question. Sometimes single men arrive in packs for bachelor parties etc..and can be a bit unruly. Most singles are respectful, and have a great time. Some of the couples on here would prefer the resort become couples only, while others specifically go to Temptation to hook up with singles. To each their own.
