We are newbies and you all have been so convincing that we are going to book our first trip to TTR in April. I plan to make the reservation this week but I wanted to see what everyone's advice is for where, specifically to stay within the resort.

I have heard that certain rooms get certain preferential treatment. I have also heard that some of the rooms are extremely noisy until 3-4am. We are certainly coming to enjoy the party, but we definitely want to get some sleep as well.

Here are the options that we have. Please tell us what you would recommend and why! Thanks so much!!

    Trendy Garden View
    Trendy Ocean View
    Bash Tower Ocean View

We are newbies to Temptations, but have been back to The Pearl, Desire Resort 3 times! I'm trying to find out more about the rooms also and look forward to seeing the responses that you get. I am interested in the Plush Jacuzzi Ocean View room, but only if the Jacuzzi is more than just a large bathtub.

We did ocean view our first and second time. But we aren’t ever really in the rooms other than to sleep or whatever. So the view doesn’t matter much to us. This time going garden view. Save the money for tips or if you leave the resort for some reason is our thinking. Or Steve’s cruise!

How big are the Jacuzzi's? Large enough for more than 2 people?

It's always a crap shoot with the rooms. We've had several that were labeled as "Ocean View", and technically you could see water, but you would never sit on the balcony for hours staring at it. If you want quiet, ask to stay by the Quiet pool. We did last time, and the room was nice, but we don't mind the noise so it was not our favorite area. Our preferred area is to the left of the sexy pool. It's super convenient for pool access, but you do hear some noise at night. (I think our room was 1731, and friends were in 1824. Both were good spots. The management is usually pretty good about helping you find a room you like. If you get one you hate, just ask for another. The only time this might be a problem is if the place is sold out, and even then you can ask to move the next day. We usually take a garden view room just because of the price and we don't spend much time there anyway.

As for the jacuzzi tubs in rooms, we have not seen those in the new tower, but all the ones in the Quiet pool area were basically just a big jacuzzi like you might have at home. You could fit two people in, and we have seen more, but you have to stack up a bit to make that work. Fortunately, that is not a problem at TTR when looking for tub friends, and if done right all are satisfied! lol

Bash tower but request higher up is good, large room, no noise with patio doors shut. Nice just coming out of bash, walk across lobby to lift....

During our room crawl in November, garden view rooms are now quite cramped, with the built-in furniture, in some....

The ocean view we seen was a nice mix between the two.....

Just our experience of some rooms, can't speak of all...
