What questions would you like answered by day 1, Aug 15th visitors?

Feels like the buzz is in full effect. Getting excited for the opening. We will be at TTR for the opening August 15th and we are looking forward to exploring and seeing what the new TTR is all about. I have been known to do a trip report or two but am thinking I will start with a post or two live from TTR on the 15th, or worse case I rarely sleep and will just post any answers to any questions I can gather early morning on the 16th when the party eventually slows down.

So, what questions would you like answered by those visiting TTR on opening day August 15th that haven't already been answered in advance? I imagine looking at this on the 15th and trying to share what I can.

For example, here is one question I hope to answer...

We are staying in a new tower room. Lush Oceanfront suite. Was the extra cost of a tower room worth it? What were the perks? What do I like and not like?

Any questions from anyone else they would like the day 1 August 15th visitors to answer? Will do my best to post what I learn on the 15th or early the 16th if there is interest.

 

We'll be first timers so it's all new to us but i did notice another thread that referenced name brand liquors being served. Red label? Yuck. Wondering if any decent brands being served or is byob best.

 

That other thread where they list out the premium liquors, is pretty much the best you are going to see, and this appeared to be the member top shelf stuff (which did include black label). I think you will see stuff better than red label for everyone. I know Crown was only for members in the past, and now it isn't on that list. So that might be for everyone. I feel that Temptation has always had a better selection of booze then other all-inclusives (but not like 5 star crazy expensive ones), so I was always more then happy, and I feel like it is even going to be a little better then it was. But I wouldn't go expecting the best. Just make sure you call the booze you want by name when ordering, because by default they will give you the well booze.

If you are very picky, get some stuff from the airport before you leave to bring to your room. If you give it to the bartenders with a nice tip, they will hold it and serve it to you all day. The other options is there is a liquor store right across the street, but that can be a little pricey. The 3rd option is to bring your own from home. You are allowed 3 liters in your checked bag or carry on (if you get it at the duty free in the airport). I have brought Jagermister, JD fire, and Fireball this way on many trips (things not really available in Cancun)

 

Yea my main first day questions are really:

1. What is and isn't open
2. Is it worth upgrading to the tower (and have you heard any info on what that cost would be to negotiate)

 

Thanks for the write up. I can live with crown. Worst case run works. Just more of a whiskey/scotch guy.

 

Sure there will be some changes with the new TTR. What specific liquor are you hoping they have and I will find out???

 

Here is another one on my list...

Is the jacuzzi open to everyone? Only premier members? Tower rooms only? Or???

And does security stop by frequently to validate the clothes stay on?

Can I put just the tip in? Or go all the way?

 

Here is another that popped in my head this morning as I day dream about the opening...

Do the Temptation suites now have jacuzzis on the balcony? Like some pics have indicated. Instead of inside. And are they only the ground floor rooms? And are they 2 person or larger than those at the jacuzzi rooms?

 

We are in the Bash tower.. is that the same building as the lush tower?

Also, are the tower rooms loud at night being that they are right over the club?
