What do u think TTR needs to change/update while NOT increasing their price?

So I was just reading in one of the threads that Patyo's has been closing their bar at 2am and no alcohol has been been served past 2am. I think it is important to get a clarification on this from people who have recently returned.

Part of the fun at TTR during our first trip was drinking until 5am and jumping in the sports pool! When we were there in july/august the music did stop at 2am at patyo's but the burgers and drinks continued until 6am.

So I don't know whats going on but I definitely want my 5am burger in June!!!

What other things/services do you think TTR needs to review (I don't mean making it a 5 star hotel and charging that) in order to keep repeaters happy? This forum plays a HUGE part in TTR gaining new customers and maybe we can offer some feasible solutions to common complaints.

Maybe we can put our recommendations together in this thread and maybe somebody from TTR will read this....

Been there done that!... haha!..you might get a few people to respond here but I bet not from the repeaters that have been going for years.. as we all know that TTR will change when TTR wants to change and not because of anything that is posted on here..unfortunatally.

the best way to be heard is fill out your survey card after your stay there..

 

1. Only shut down the sexy pool for a 2-3hr period for cleaning. Otherwise keep it open 24hrs instead of the sports pool.
2. Put up lockers/cubbies around the sexy pool to let people put their small stuff in to stop all of the about the chair reservations and gives people a more secure,dry and shaded place to put stuff that is small enough if they don't want to keep tabs on it.
3. Hand railings!!!!!!!!!!!
4. CHINOS!!!!!!!!

 

Music: mix it up, play different things, play full songs, keep the dance floor full and happy (no weird slower hard to dance to Mexican music), and don't play the same thing every single night

Rooms: put doors in the bathrooms, be consistent with quality, and put a stool or bench in the shower (so hard to shave without it)

I think food quality overall could improve slightly. We didn't like the buffet (food or service) but the Asian and Italian were AMAZING. I'd like to see the reservation process improve (more days at once and better hours to reserve like more time or different time slots more often in the day). More soda and juice options.

I thought the front desk staff was rude and not helpful. Check-in didn't feel welcoming. Other resorts (and not 5 star) greet you with a smile, welcome drink, and courtesy. I didn't get any of the above (I don't really even care about the drink) at TTR. It felt more like checking in to a comfort inn then a resort.

Better chair monitoring like others have said that they used to take things off of chairs at a certain time.

Lastly, which I know is a touchy subject, is the tipping. I am all for tipping and tip whenever it is deserved. However, all inclusives advertise as "gratuity included", others we've been to don't even allow it. I felt that the staff expected a tip always, but yet provided sub-par service. I didn't find this at the specialty restaurants but did at bars and the buffet. I'd get better service at Denny's but yet I felt "shunned" for not tipping. Again I do tip and always will when it is deserved. I just felt it was too expected and in your face for an all inclusive.

TTR is a business - they should operate that way to keep clients

Chino's, Omar and Lalo again!!! Yeah I know I am dreaming but they started this whole obsession that I have. Then the people I met made it an even bigger obsession. My usual hotels are Super 8 and Motel 6 when traveling in the US.(I am not hard to please) So needless to say Temptations Kicks Ass....Just my opinion.

Agree totally with the lockers, and please keep the bar open past 2!

Still hoping the review about the bar not being open past 2 wasn't true! Best thing about TTR was falling asleep at 8pm and still being able to wake up at 12 midnight and getting a few drinks and a burger at the bar!

 

When the weather is bad (it does happen!) they need to open the bar in the Sports Bar. Who wants to play pool in there, and then have to run outside in the rain to the Sexy Pool bar for a drink? Utter madness!
