My Mexican roots keep me from celebrating this holiday. Nothing wrong with Partying a little, but what in the world was the Mexican gov thinking when they declared May 5th a national holiday? It is true that the Mexican army kicked the very well trained and equipped French army, but shortly after that battle the French Veni-Vidi-Vici. Not much to celebrate, is there? But then again, some folks in Mexico also celebrate October 12. Good thing it's not a national holiday. Happy Drinko de Mayo!
we are having a party here in the states for it at our favorite mexican restuarant, CEBOLLAS!! Cant wait!
golf at 8am followed by Kentucky Derby party at noon-6pm followed by drunkfest somewhere, hopefully with the CT CancunCare ladies
