We will be there this wknd for a few days and the weather says thunderstorms for the next 14 days...is it typical for Cancun weather to say that every day?! Gosh I hope so, and hope it doesn't really happen.
Just during hurricane season so I'm told our first trip was October and it rained every day but 1 we were told the last week of October to April is the best times to book. But even with the rain we still had a blast and only 3 days rained all day
So we have been 3 times in early October and the forecast said storms every day. End result was 5 days of sunshine. 1 day of a 10 minute shower and 1 day of complete rain out. Seeing thunderstorms in the forecast isn't a bad thing. There is always a chance. What you don't want to see is rain 80 or 90% chance. Those are the rainouts. But they typically don't accurately forecast those days until 2 or 3 days out it seems. End result people will say it never rains. That isn't true. Others will react to seeing the storms in the forecast and think every day will be a washout. Not accurate either. This time of year expect mostly sunny days with some passing storm risk and a rainout day. As mentioned above a tropical system changes everything. But don't think one is forecast
But those % for thunderstorms typically means a passing storm. If it actually says 'Rain' 80, 90% and you see high percipitaion estimates that is when I worry. Not with thunderstorms
