The online forecasts are usually fairly accurate, the problem is people interpret them wrongly. When a web site says 30% chance of rain, it doesn't mean there's a 30% chance of rain all day long. It means there's a 30% chance that it might rain somewhere in the Cancun area for an unspecified amount of time. Often there will be one isolated cloud that causes a few minutes rain, you'll hardly notice and its cleared up in 5 minutes. I have seen it rain in our front garden but not our back garden. It still counts that it rained that day. And when it says 30% chance of rain it also means there's a 70% chance that it wont rain at all, anywhere, not even for a minute. We're well into July and the number of totally lost days due to rain this year have been about 6. If you interpret the forecast literally you'd probably think it was about 100. My favourite site for Cancun weather is: http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/MX/Cancun.html But I hardly ever check it, unless there's a hurricane nearby, because I know that chances are the weather will be fairly similar to yesterday - too bloody hot!
I know hot!! Thx, Steve. We are from Alabama and we know hot!! At least there will probably be a breeze there!! See you maƱana!!
