Going to TTR and the weather according to forecast doesn't look good for the last few weeks to the next few weeks. We will be there 19-26. chance of rain I am seeing is like 40, 60, 80%. Kind of has me worried. Been in warm climates before and it tens to rain early or a quick dump in the afternoon then go away. hope this is the case.
Going in the rainy season , normal weather , good news it usually doesn't rain all day , unless its one of those tropical storms. Just got back. That far in advance for our trip said rain every day too. Here is the run down... Friday nice. Mix sun/ clouds. No rain. Was at a 50% chance. Saturday. Gorgeous. Was at a 40% chance. Sunday. Gorgeous. A few later clouds. Was at a 40% chance. Monday. Sun then clouds then showers for 1-2 hours. Was at a 60% chance. Tuesday. Sun then clouds then showers for under an hour. Was at a 80% chance. No wash outs. Apparently right before arrival there was a washout due to TS Karen. Point is the forecast ended up being pretty accurate once we got a couple days out. Far in advance it was not. Those forecasts were from accuweather.com
Last Feb it said rain for 3 days before we got there, walked on the beach the monday night was cold and windy, tuesday morning cold and tiny rain, cleared up after that though. I would not worry, just get your party on, sneak into the hot tub and off you go.
I was worried about the weather too, but it ended up being really nice. The only day it rained was last Thursday and it was cleared out by that afternoon. I've come to realize that the weather in Cancun is very unpredictable
Short of a tropical storm or hurricane there's not much point in being concerned about the weather in Cancun in my experience!
My experience in 11 visits to Cancun has been the same. The weather forcasters are covering their asses in case it does rain :icon_exclaim:
If it rain while there we have a couple hints: Hint One "Place hand over top of Glass!" You don't want water in your drink. Hint two (if in the sexy pool and no lightning and thunder) don't jump out and crowd under Diegos because you might get wet because you are already WET!!!
