Looking at booking for end of July into August 2012 (seems way off as yet !), whats the weather like ? And very busy or same as usual ? Any help gratefully received . (first timers there) Thanks
Welcome to the forum Karina and Paul. Weather for your time frame is usually great. It's hot, too hot for me (we go back to the UK around that time!) and not that much rain. Hurricane season starts June 1st so you cant rule one out but hurricanes are rare that early in the season. More info on typical July weather at the link below: Cancun Weather in July Cancun is busy, it's always busy! Not quite as busy as Jan thru May as many North Americans are enjoying nice weather at home in the summer. But more busy than Sept- December which is considered low season. July/August is a popular time for Mexicans and of course Brits. School is out so a popular time for families too although you wont find families at Temptation.
The last two years we have booked late July/early August at TTR, and the crowd and weather was great! It is definitely hot, but that just gives you a better reason to stay in the sexy pool all day and drink!
I have been to Cancun 9 times. Summer weather is the best. Been there 3 times in the summer...You never have to be concerned about the nights being cool or not. Yes it gets hot but makes both the pool and the ocean feel great.
End of July/August is very hot and humid. It does not cool off much at night either. We have been during that time before, and would definitely go again, can't be scared of a little intense heat, right? But we prefer going in April or May.
We were there at the end of Aug. 2010 , The weather was next to perfect. The water in the pool was like bath water. My feet never saw the sun , we were in the sexy pool all day! The resort was not over crowded but still busy enough. We are going this year for NYE . But I think we will be going back this Aug.
Late July/early August was great when we were there. I thought the weather was awesome. God I can't wait to go BACK!!!!! I'm glad we're not the only one's thinking about July/August already! Look forward to meeting you guys!!
