Well I have been follwing the weather for Oct 6-13. It doesnt look good- Rain is in the forecast.. YUK- This is the first time that we have been to Cancun, and was wondering, does it always rain in Cancun? Does it rain, then clear up? Or downpour?Is it like Florida where it rains just about every day for an hour?? Who knows I guess. Any opinions on this??? Thanks, Allison
1) Never trust forecasts anywhere. They lie. CONSTANTLY. 2) Most often rain in the forecast in Cancun is most often in the form of short lived showers or cloudbursts that last for a short period of time. 3) Unless it's a tropical storm or hurricane it won't be bad enough to ruin your day. 4) Have fun!
It probably won't rain one time while you are there. You are wasting your time checking weather forecasts for Cancun.
Ignore the forcast and get ready for a great time. Remember Partly cloudy also means Partly sunny. Also one rainy day in Cancun is a hell of a lot better than being at home anyday...CHEERS
And if it's a brief rain and you're already in the pool. Who cares you're already wet! Have spent many a fun time getting rained on in the pool... As others have said, rain is often in the forecast and it may rain either briefly or somewhere in the Cancun area but not at the resort. So don't lose any sleep over this. We repeaters don't.
Yup ignore it... I was just in st maarten always showed "showers" yet it rained only once! for 15 mins
1. Everything Dos Equis Fan said. 2. Last year was our 2nd time and I monitored the weather and was beside myself because the forecast called for rain everyday. 3. It rained maybe 10 minutes the whole time. 4. If it rains, find us and we'll hang and have fun either way. 5. Free booze makes everything better.

Just got back. It rained all day Tuesday, but only at night before that and the rest of thr week was perfect
