This will be our third trip. We are staying at the GP but thought I'd post this here since there is more traffic on the Temptation page.

Anyway, we are used to seeing rain in the forecast but usually it's with partly cloudy or partly sunny designations.

Now we are concerned because every forecast we look at next week call for rain/thunderstorms/overcast conditions.

Is this a rare pattern that will hold true or will we see sun?

I know you're not meteoroligists but thought some of the more experienced Cancun travelers could share some thoughts.

    Thanks.

We were their the first week of May. For 10 days in advance they were calling for rain and partly cloudy conditions. For the full week we were their it was sunny and never rained once. It was nice when a cloud rolled by to give us a little relief. Don't beleive the weather reports. Have fun!!!!

I am worried a little as well. It always shows showers and usually it only lasts a few minutes but it does not look good. I am praying it is going to be like every other year and the sun gods will bless us. We are there the 19-27th.

Count me in the "don't believe the forcast" camp.

I think it's mostly CYA, 60% chance of scattered showers just means a little over half a chance it'll rain somewhere.

Besides if it does rain, it's still warm, just cover your drink so it doesn't get watered down!:umbrella1:

Today has been the first bad weather day for months. It's been cloudy most of the day with some sun at lunchtime. Rained a couple of times, heavy last night and 2 or 3 10 minute showers during the day.

This kind of weather doesn't usually last long, I'd expect it to be back to normal within a few days.
