First, we were there for a very short trip last week. We stayed in a Bash tower ocean view king. Check-in this was terrible and we got off to a bad start. We got there early 11 am. Room wasn't ready (this was expected). We were told to come back in an hour. We went and ate. Came back, not ready, one more hour. Changed in the bathroom went to the sexypool. Came back at 3. Still not ready. Admittedly I threw a fit. We had already wasted over an hour of our short trip going back and forth. Finally get our room at 4. A 4pm check in would have been fine had they just told us this from the get go instead of wasting our time!! Our room- it was amazing. Great view, very clean. Comfortable king ocean view. Zero complaints there. The Sexy pool- hellooooo fun!! We will be back and this pool is the reason. So much fun, energy and alllll the sexiness. Pool service- absolutely terrible. We were served in our chairs 1 time. This of course didn't bother my hubby because he wanted to watch me go get my own drinks the drinks are very very good and the bartenders are great. Other guests- we met lots of great people. Had good conversation. Everyone had a smile. We are not lifestyle and we were treated with so much respect and kindness. Food- we aren't foodies at all so I won't comment much on the food other than to say we were very pleased. Beach- I'm surprised so many people act negative. It is small. There are people walking by trying to get a peek (let them look, they probably need it). But really it is a beautiful beach. The water was very calm and the gorgeous carribean blue color while we were there. Theme parties- we didn't participate but we heard them til 3am. Next time we will. This trip was a trial run. Admittedly I was terrified. Overall- great short trip. Lots of fun. The entire place was very comfortable and not overwhelming like I had expected. If luxury and pampering is your style and number 1 priority you will be disappointed. If you love laid back sexiness and being a little naughty, you've found your place! This was our first topless optional resort experience and I'd say it gave me a body positive boost I wasn't even aware I needed. And holy moly I liked letting the girls out!!
Great review!!! We had a very similar experience on our first trip except that we were among the ones still making noise at 3 am at Bash. We highly recommend participating in the theme nights...it is as much fun as the Sexy Pool in an entirely different way. Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Great to hear you had a nice first trip!!! I am sure some people will be glad to read your perspective on not feeling overwhelmed Just wondering about this part, when you said you skipped over the themes, did you just not want to hang out at night post dinner? With the nights you don't have to be in any type of theme wear or anything. You can just watch the show and then hang outside at the bar and dance a little. 50% of the people are in normal clothing.
@ScubaSteve we were just exhausted and still had another resort to get to the second half of our trip. We won't do the 2 resort thing again. But 2 days was a good amount of time for us to form an opinion. We immediately regretted our (really just me) fear based decision. I loved being out on our balcony and seeing everyone dressed up. Without a doubt we will participate next time. It looked like a blast. We are already looking at dates for August/Sept.
@Newbornbaby Didn't realize it was only 2 days, totally makes sense. Well at least that was a great way to get a feeler before booking a long trip. I wish more of my friends would take that chance, or better yet just listen to me, it's fun and not as insane as some people imagine...but I guess it can be
We know that feeling EXACTLY. We have tried to tell friends back home to give TTR a try, even for a long weekend type trip. But they never do for any number of reasons. It's everything we looked for with every vacation we did with them. TTR is clean, friendly, a GREAT crowd, and fun at night with good nightlife. But they're afraid, and at this point we've quit asking them because we've made so many friends at TTR there is no point in dragging anybody there who really doesn't want to be. Glad you had a great time during your short visit! Hopefully we'll get to be friends someday soon also.
Great review! You'll learn as you go, get there whenever, say gimme a room whenever, then come back an hour after they tell you to show up lol. Or you get to a point where you meet great friends who will already be there waiting for you and let you store your stuff in their room.
