We are swingers staying 7th-21st Dec 09. Are you?

we will be going between 7th - 21st december. We are not ashamed of being swingers, its a lifestyle choice we both enjoy. We seem to be under the impression that there will be swingers at the resort.

How will we know if somebody is a swinger, if they are too ashamed to say?

Don't think you'll find that many to be honest. We were there in September and there wasn't that many there at all. Don't think people are ashamed to say they are swingers but the hotel management seem to be against swingers at the moment and anything sexual really.
The large group we hung out with knew we were swingers because we told them on here but we only told a few people that weren't on this site. Bring back cancunspice we say :wink:

 

You say that the hotel management are against swingers. Can you explain what you mean?

The hotel 'temptations' is clearly marketed in sexual nature to adults. I.e. proovactive website, shows, lingerie nights etc.... We understand it is not a swingers hotel, we have been to hedonism and never rated that as a swingers resort anyway.

Dont quite understand why management would have a problem with swingers as they are a sister company to Desire (more for swingers).

Dont get us wrong we are on holiday primarliy to relax but it would be nice to hook up with likeminded couples for a chat, drink and hopefully some fun

 

Thats the whole point, they market it in a sexual nature yet if people get too sexual they clamp down. The entire resort used to be much more sexual with the games both day and night. The lingerie night isn't really that sexual as you see more but the pool, it's just a bit of fun.
We think they would much rather us swingers go to Desire which has been happening and they've inceased the prices at Desire to screw swingers even more.
We've met some amazing people at BBG/TTR and they know we are swingers but we go to have a laugh with them and it doesn't go any futher lol

pass out as opposed to falling asleep - there is a difference you know..........and the difference is you pick when you fall asleep..........but when you pass out (even though you do in fact fall asleep) you dont have a choice

Keep in mind, Desire is their sister resort not that far away in "upper" riviera maya and the atmosphere is much more condusive there to swinging, swaying or doing anything you want...

 

If Desire was a similar price then we would have gone there but from the uk costs double the amount for 2 weeks makes it very expensive.. we went hedo in jamaica 2 yrs ago and that cost over £4000 and was not worth it at all..

 

It's the cost that stops us from going to Desire. We'd love to do a week there and then a week at TTR but it's fully booked now for the week we want lol

This has long been a fine line that Temptations has always had to walk. That line being is what is too far for your avg. clientle. Personally I never saw anything that crosses the line in most people's mind. 99% of the nudity is on a humor side and not really a sexual side. Why that offends some people I don't get it. Losing up a bit is all I can say. I sure won't let some train of naked people running out too the beach to get there swimsuits after a game of naked Teq. ruin my vacation.

On the marketing side of the resort........You can inform travel agents all you want. You can advertise your resort however you want, yet in the end the customer will always hold the resort and travel agent at fault and never themselves for not doing there own homework. I just wish Temptations would understand that more. It's not any of the staffs fault on any level, except if they let something go too far. Things don't need to be calmed down because a couple guest find something crossed the line in there mind. The resort should just set there standards and thats it. Then when people whine its a lot easier to have a few a month complain then to blow up your business style that made you what you are today. Its the service industry and no one is ever going to please everyone.
