Read a couple of bad reviews on Trip Advisor yesterday one of them saying its really difficult to get bottled water? are we best getting a case from walmart? or is this not the caserangehat:
It can, sometimes, be tricky to get some from the bars, but your maid will always leave you plenty. Simply leave her a note requesting more, and a tip. Problem sorted. :daisy:
The maid leaves you 2 bottles a day but a 50 peso tip and a note saying "Quattro Aqua por favor" will yield results. If you forget on one of those days you wake up wondering when in the night you ate your sandal and can barely manage to remember to breathe the store sells them fairly cheaply. I'm pretty sure if you were to ask the front desk they'd get you some too but not tried as it's ridiculously easy to get water. Trip advisor posts are for amusement purposes only I've found
You can also call or go to the front desk and they will give you more. usually send someone up to your room to deliver it.
Also know that the hotel has it's own internal water purification system and that ALL water used within the hotel is filtered and safe to drink, brush your teeth with, etc. As with any water, it sometimes tastes different than you may be used to at home (that happens no matter where you travel) but it is safe. I brought an insulated water bottle w me last yr. & had the bartenders at the sexy pool fill it whenever I would get a drink. I also brought Mio drops as well to make the water taste better:icon_cool: I tried to keep myself hydrated throughout the day, some days I drank lots of water & other days I was sidetracked by mango mojitos lol!
The water is required to be filtered. We drink the water from the pool bars without issue. That being said, if you find it difficult to get bottled water, you can always walk to the convenience store next door or across the street.
Don't forget to bring a bottle of water on the Boobs Cruise with you if you are the type to dehydrate from large quantities of alcohol.
Yea tip the maid and ask for more. She would always leave 2 or 4 large bottles everyday, making the number we have never drop below 4, and sometimes as high as 8. On nights when my brain has some sense I pound one bottle before bed, then when it is time to pee I wake up and pound another one. Best way to prevent hang overs IMO.
