So, I just bought a cute pair of Teva water sandals with a wedge heel. I was hoping they would keep me above the water a bit in the sexy pool. My question is, will security go ape shit on me for wearing water shoes? They look like black sandal flip flops with a wedge heel. They are made out of foamy material and specifically made for water (pools, ocean, etc.). Should I just get a float or try these? They are coming with me regardless, but from what I hear about security and the pool, I’m not sure if I should wear them in the water. Plus I’m hoping they keep me from slipping.
From a sanitation standpoint I don't see how walking in shoes poolside to going in water is any different than walking barefoot then putting your feet in the water. I would just go ahead unless you're asked to take them off you wouldn't get reprimanded
Thanks guys! I’m planning on wearing them until I’m told not to. Or I lose them lol. Maybe I’ll spring for another pair just in case...but I’ve been searching high and low for heeled water sandals. I just hope that I’m high enuf for my girls to not be submerged all day. I’m 5’5 so in these I’ll be 5’7.
I'm pretty sure my wife is 5'5'' and has no need for shoes in the pool. I'll be perfectly honest, you might get some odd looks wearing those in the sexy pool. They don't really scream sexy-pool to me personally, more nature hike.
Lol Scuba Steve! Nature hike!!! These are strappy wedge heeled sandals. They look nothing like “normal” water shoes that I wear camping. I wouldn’t last a day camping with these. And thanks for the info, I don’t want to be submerged all day long. Does she bring a float or is ok just chillin out?
Those weren't at all what I came up with when I googled "Teva water sandals", hahahhaa. She is fine without anything. The pool isn't just one depth. There are raised areas along the sides, "fun holes" that people sit in, and areas around the steps and bar that people hang at which aren't as deep. There are plenty of ways around the depth issue. The main thing with that is that boobs are more submerged than they should be. IMO it's also quite a hike to walk from one end of the pool to the other in the deeper water.
My wife is 4' 11" and struggles but survives, at 5'5" you should be fine and in those heels you'll be way good.
