Walmart

We booked the US tranffers after reading about the service on this forum (thank you!)

One question we were wondering about… The option to stop at Walmart for an hour to get some things for the week.

What are some of the things people are buying when they stop?

 

There are buses available that you can catch from the resort. They go by walmart. One dollar each way.

 

we were curious what people were getting at walmart... if the resort was missing something... it is our first trip to cancun so wondering if we are not thinking of something others might have

 

there are some stores close to the resort that are convenience type stores. They sell beer,liquor,sunscreen chips dips and stuff like that just in case you forget something.

 

Its much cheaper to take the bus to walmart for sure than paying 25 or so from the airport.We always make a trip on the bus to get some alcohol that we like to keep in the room for drinks at night because the resort doesnt always have certain bottle of alcohol like Honey Jack Daniels that I love in the evening and anything else that we forgot to pack..lol

 

Those places are at least double in price compared to walmart for sure.

 

Have u tried the Winter Jack Daniels with Apple Pie?

Very true but if it's emergency it is still an option.

 

We are only there 5 days so we paid for the USA Transfers trip because once we step into TTR, we are likely not leaving except for a Boobs Cruise. We are planning to get Vitamin Water Zero, provided they have it, and probably toiletries so we don't have to pack as many (body wash, aloe/after sun, sunscreen) and maybe some healthier snacks to keep in the room. Might also just buy whatever souvenirs for our 2 kids and my mom there, too! At least, I'm assuming it's like the Walmart stores by Disney World - with a HUGE section of Disney etc. souvenirs - I could be wrong since this is also our first trip.

Also, since we are planning to buy Vitamin Water and possibly a flat of bottled water ( I know they have a resort but I drink A LOT of water), figured the bus would be a major PITA.

But if we were just going for a few items that would easily go in bags, we probably would have waited to do the bus. Maybe. 5 days is seeming VERY short after being on the forum for 2 months!
