I found the back and forth debate interesting on the vocal minority vs the quiet majority point. Where the premise was the vocal minority is upset about the TTR changes but the quiet majority are excited about the changes and improvements to the resort. Honestly i have no idea where this will play out but I am curious to see where everyone falls.

So it has been a while since I have seen a poll on here, hoping it works. Bear with me if I screw this up.

Regarding the TTR renovations where do you rank on the following scale...

    1. Extremely unhappy - you want TTR to stay like it is. No changes period.
    2. Unhappy - you would prefer it doesn't change.
    3. In the middle - you like TTR the way it is but acknowledge that change is inevitable
    4. Happy - you embrace the change and are hopeful it is for the better
    5. Extremely happy - you were likely not coming back unless changes were made so you are looking forward to renovations.
    6. Don't care - just show me the results.

Voted happy which the hope that it doesn't rival Desire pricing structure after which would change it to unhappy to extremely unhappy.

Right, of course a response is allowed to change in the future as more info comes out. Many assumptions have to be made at this point.

I'm extremely happy about the construction. The place needed a major facelift. We have been hearing people complain for years about how the place is falling apart and there is always some type of construction going on just to maintain function of the resort. I am considering this a gift from Temptation!!

    VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!!

We're happy for a few reasons. 1) It takes place after our annual July trip. 2) We were going to venture out of our comfort zone and look at something around Tulum next year 3) Some of our fellow travelers were apprehensive about going because they thought the resort looked run down and trashy, despite what we told them. Add all three together and we look forward to 2017!

i am just worried that they will jack the price up way high out of my comfort zone for a vacation. I have paid between 2400 and 3200 for 10 fun packed days at Temptation. I will pay slightly more if the rebuild makes it a better plae and does not change the atmosphere and fun.

Thanks for making this. Good idea.

I voted extremely happy, but this was before I read the descriptions. Removing price speculation out of the equation, I am extremely happy, BUT I don't agree with one part of the description, because I still was going to end up going back.

    In the middle:

My wife and I took our 1st trip in December, then we took our 2nd trip 4 months later. On this 2nd trip I got my wife to accept the fact that we'll probably be going here til we're old (we're 30 btw).

We were planning on taking a couple year break because the wife wants to get knocked up, so the timing is perfect. I'm just hoping that when it opens back up, it's got the same fun vibe that it had and isn't double the price. Either way, things will work itself out and either people will return back to Temptation or a new place will take over.

I just need you guys to figure that out for me in the next 24 months. K, thanks.

yeah, in hindsight i wish I worded that differently. As we voted extremely happy too but we would go back, just not nearly as much. Good call out. Cant change it now of course but I think it is fair to vote for that and qualify it.

    In the middle -

Fearful the format will change dramatically and just become another 4-5* resort in Cancun with way too much book reading and quiet evenings.

Happy that they are doing some construction, we personally thought a remodel would be fine and saw evidence they were doing just that in our last trip in Feb.

This massive construction project came as a surprise after seeing all the work they were doing to the rooms in the 5000 block in Feb. We saw rooms torn down to the studs, flooring removed, bathroom walls removed and just figured that was the "big project" we've been waiting 3yrs on.
