We are thinking of going to Cancun in July and have only been in April and January. We like hot weather but dont want to be miserable. In researching monthly temperatures it appears that the average high in January is about 80 and in July its about 90. What about bugs, humidity, how much sun one can take in July, etc. Any advice would be helpful! thank you.

Same here. We are from Houston. It doesnt seem any hotter. If anything we thought it was cooler than Houston due to the breeze off the water

We're from Wisconsin...I've been there in July and loved it. If you're sensitive to heat, that might be a consideration, but we love it hot. We've been to the resort in February, and were more often than not complaining that was too cold...both at the pool and at night.

We go in July and I've never thought it was too hot. The humidity takes a day or so for us to adjust, since we live in a desert, but by the end of the trip it's barely noticeable. If we get too hot, we have a pool or ocean to cool us off. The nights are beautiful and I haven't noticed the bugs.

    Where are you from?

    Humidity

The temperature is not the real problem. Even the humidity is not bad BUT, PatyO's at night can be miserable. IT is surrounded by buildings and even with the few fans they have around the humidity is bad!
There is just no breeze blowing there at night after you are all cleaned up and looking sexy!! :aetsch004:
Seems not to matter much later on, things just cling to you and that is a good thing!!

Unless the fixed it from last August, the pool is great around 10am but by 2-3, it is like bath water! Not refreshing at all! Really hate to think what causes that!!

We went once in July and it was hot/humid for us. However the simple solution was to stay in the water and ask for a cup or two of ice water with your drink.

Don't laugh - we stood in a circle talking and poured the ice in the water between us.

Been in August and April. Both were great. The biggest difference was how warm the pool was in August. Either way the crowd was hot(er) than the water. This year looking at a month with a J. Since January is past, it's June or July. Guess we'll just wear less. A girls got to do what a girls got to do.

We have been there in January, June and July. We would take Cancun anytime but we'll take June/July over January. You can actually enjoy the pools. It's hot but not too hot and there is always a breeze. Last year we decided to do Vegas and decided to go when they were at highs of 118. Even at the topless pools it was way too hot.

We have been the in Feb and late July. It is hotter but as everyone said you have the ocean and pools to keep cool. The nights are better in July but Paty'O does get hot. The one problem I had with July-August was that the air conditioning has a hard time keeping the room cool. Maybe that was just the room we had. Anytime at Temptation is a good time.
