Here's a suggestion ... take me with you!!! :D

Have you been to Vegas, Ian?

I've only been there once, so I'm certainly no expert ... there are so many FUN things to see and do ...
just walking the Strip and stopping in the different casinos is an adventure.

ian my crumpet eating friend u dont put me in the list of recent vegas vacationers!, planet hollywood just took over the alladin, they were putting the sign up when i was there in march, nice mall inside and next door to paris and across the street from bellagio, def check out the fountain show (if ure room faces the strip u'll have a pretty good view of them without having to pay the extra "lakeview room" charge that u get hit with at the bellagio, dont bother going to the top of the eiffel tower u see nuthing go to the top of stratosphere, go to the imperial palace to see the old cars (rolls, bentley, ferrarri, etc.), dont plan on drinking any good ales, lol, u might find an "english style" pub, for a listing of so-called genteleman's clubs pm me

Congratz, Ian.. I do hope you have loads of fun.. Like he said, Planet Hollywood just took over the Aladdin.. The sign is up, but for the looks from the outside, when I was there, that is pretty much it.. The outside looks like crap, but was told the inside is amazing... Under some major renovation on the outside, but wouldn't think the inside would be under construction, as they would only have to change signs...

    GO TO THE GRAND CANYON!!!

Here's the link to some cheap tours, and no, I didn't find them any cheaper once I got to Vegas...

    http://www.lasvegas-sightseeing.com/

I went on the Grand Canyon South Rim tour, which was wonderful, but a long one.. If you decide to go, and you have a bus driver by the name of Camille, she's a nut case.. Loads of fun, and lots of great information..

Be sure you get the magazine from you hotel called WHAT'S ON!!!

    Lots of great coupons, discounts!!!

You can click on my webshots link in my siggy to go and view my Vegas Pictures... I have a picture in it of the Planet Hollywood sign....

I do agree. GO SEE THE FOUNTAINS!!! The wind was too high when I was there, so I didn't get to see the show, but plan on going back one day to see them lol.. Gives me a good excuse to go back...

    Other things that are free.....

    The Mirage Volconao
    Treasure Island Show
The White Tigers at The Mirage
The Lions at The MGM Grand
    The Fremont Street Experience

I'm sure i'm forgetting something, just trying to give you a general idea..

    FOR TRAVELING IN LAS VEGAS!!!!!

Do the double decker duece buses!!! Pretty well bus stops in front of most hotels... You will be located on North Strip side, which includes, MGM Grand, Ballys, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, etc.. The South Strip side will include Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, Ny, Ny, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Casears, etc.... Also, they have a bus that goes downtown to Fremont St. too... The bus tickets are only $5 for 24 hours... You purchase them as you load the bus..

Hope I was of some help, and if I think of anything else, i'll be sure to add it....

Take Care, and Have Loads of Fun & Luck!!!

The $5.00 per day bus looks like a trolley car. Cheap and reliable. Slow, but it saves you from all that walking from place to place. Pay for the 24-hr ticket when you get on the bus the first day. You can see the bus route on the link above.

BTW, Greta, I just remembered we went to Vegas when T was about five months pregnant! Stayed at the Westward Ho!, which is a cheap old casino, but right next to Circus Circus and adjacent to one of those trolley bus stops.

Spend some time at the Bellagio.

Three "do not miss" night clubs:
    Rum Jungle - Mandalay Bay
    VooDoo Lounge - The Rio
    Rain - The Palms
