Trying to plan a trip for 2/11-2/14 for first timers. My wife is apprehensive about going because we have never been to a party place like this. We generally travel for work and stay at very nice (Ritz Carlton) type resorts, but we are looking for more of a party atmosphere for our 20th anniverary (doesn't seem that long!!). I was planning on booking the Tempation suite to make sure we don't have any surprises when we check in. I'd rather over pay than not be happy with the room. We are not snobs, just don't want to leave anything to chance for our first experience. We are 44 with 4 kids and we both take care of ourselves and consider ourselves active/social people, even though we are usually asleep by 10 pm most nights (remember--4 kids). What can we expect? Does Temptation do anything special for Valentines Weekend? What can I do to make sure my wife has the best time possibe and is not so nervous that she doesn't have a good time? :aktion014:
let your hair down ,, go with the flow and if offered,, join the orgy. Seriously just go with an open mind. ps.. if your in bed by 10pm, try getting up at midnight and hit the bar...
If you are planning on going to Temptation to try out the Alternative Lifestyle, then you will likely be disappointed. Yes there are Swingers at Temptation but it's more of a, what we tend to call, Swayers resort. That's where there it's more about the tease than the delivery. It's a sexually charge atmosphere where people flirt, and yes some do hook up, but mostly just flirt. Now, if you are coming from what one would call a vanilla relationship, then Temptations might be a great starter look. Can you handle your wife sitting topless in some other guys lap? Can she handle some barley dressed woman using you as a dance pole? Not saying that's the norm, well the sitting topless might be, but you get the idea. If you both can handle that with no problem, then maybe the next vacation would be at Desire which is an alternative lifestyle resort. Not saying you won't hook up with others, it does happen. But it seems when first timers come expecting to find it everywhere they usually leave disappointed. I'd say go.. plan on being a swayer and if the opportunity presents itself to swing and you are comfortable with the situation, by all means enjoy yourself. rangehat: Jamie
This is EXACTLY what Paul and I are looking for...........the flirting, sexually charged atmosphere, live and let live attitude. No judgements on swinging or not. We are private but love being around others that have the same sensualist attitude we have. Can't wait until February 16th!!!!!
Not looking to swing, we have never even swayed!!! It is not looking like we are going to make the trip at this point. At 44 years old my wife thinks we are too old because she read somewhere that the average age is 25-45. I still want to go but wouldn't think of pushing her too hard to go if she wasn't 110% comfortable. Sounds like a place you have to 100% confident to really enjoy your stay. If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!!!
That last statement is oh so true. As for the age, 25-45 is I think low. We usually say 25-80. And let me tell you the 80 YOs are the wildest. Most are 30-60. Me? I started out at 41 and will be heading back at 53 this year. But I still act like I'm 10 at times. Age doesn't make a difference there. Swaying isn't a requirement. It is really truly a place where you participate, or not, at the level you are comfortable with. Sitting around and watching us make idiots of ourselves while you laugh you butt off is totally acceptable. They have what they call the quite pool where those that want a nice place with excellent service and the chance to maybe go topless if the mood strikes. You can shift from there to the Sexy Pool where the constant fun and games are happening and back as the mood strikes. It's actually a great place to vacation and make it whatever you want. Ask her to come and post to ask any question she has and talk to the other ladies here to get their opinions. And trust me; all types of people are represented here. She will get a complete and honest view from those that have actually been there and be able to make an informed decision. Sure we love the place, but we know what it is and isn’t. And yes Temptation isn’t for everyone but it’s better to make that decision informed rather than miss out on something you could come to love as much as us. Jamie
Jamie - you don't have any concerns about allowing these young kids (His Highness said Her Majesty was 44) to join us? I am not sure if these young'uns really know how to "party with the pros" . . . We too are in our fifties and have only recently been reassured that the rest of the crowd will do its best to keep up. :wink3:
Hey, anyone that can keep up is more than welcome to join the party. I'm always amazed by posters on the Spring Break Board that talk about how hard they party into the night and then sleep till mid afternoon. I say sleep when you die. I usually get about 2 to 3 hours of sleep a day inbetween parties.. Need a vacation when I get back from this vacation. Jamie
That's what worries me the most...This is our first real Vacation and Im not a drinker, but love to party.. but usually my parties end 3am.. but i sleep till 10 am.. lol and when i drink i have three and im drunk.. thank god i dont need booze to have a great time! lol 31 days till im in TTR!!!
