Does anyone have their own little ritual or tradition they do while on vacation? I actually have two. We always go to the dollar store before we leave and buy cute gifts to leave out for the maids. Each night (morning, lol) before we go to bed we leave out 2 gifts, one from each of us, for the maids to take home. This year we went with themes - one day is mani/pedi set with nailpolish, the next is a nice notepad and set of pens... etc. We love it and we think they do too! Sometimes, we have to leave a note that says "FOR THE MAID - PLEASE TAKE!" We dont want to get them in any trouble for "taking" anything from our room.

My second tradition comes from when I dated my ex-boyfriend many years ago. He was so By-The-Book and such a scheduler. I am sooo the opposite. We were in Bahamas on our last day of vacation and stopped by the beach to say bye to his family before we headed to the airport. His brothers were teasing me, saying "jump in the ocean, you only live once", etc. I was fully dressed and ready to head out, but I thought "he's right, you only live once" so I jumped in with all my clothes on. The BF flipped out! I went to the restroom, changed my clothes and had plenty of time to make the flight. I knew we had plenty of time and wanted to prove to him that "YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE" and that he needed to chill. Sooo, every vacation since then, on my last day, right before we head to the lobby to get a taxi - I jump in the pool/ocean with all my clothes on. Its kinda like a "F.You" to the ex who was always stressed, freaking out about missing a taxi, etc. Please share your own tradition, I would love to hear them! :flagusa:

Before a vacation I always try to run by the local banks to find $2 bills to leave as tips.

But I think just taking one last leap into the water might be easier.

Except for my boots which are my travel must. I always wear them when I travel and I can't do that to my custom Crock Lucchese's. It's the only pair of footware I ever cared about. If you had a pair of these you'd feel the same way.:xyxthumbs:

Shots with friends right before we leave and of course a ton of hugs. Sometimes even a pool side sexy dance.

I have a beer and a shot of tequila in the airport (Clt) @ 7AM on the way down.

It's at this time.....I pre-apologize to my lovely wife for how I'm about to behave for the week.
