I want to start off by Thanking Steve and all the wonderful people we meet from this site. If it was not for this site I don't think we would have had such a great time. We had an amazing time at TTR. We are planning on going back every Feb now. So here is my mini review, when we checked in there was no room by quite pool and the only room were above patty'o lounge they said they were over booked and asked us to go to a different resorts for one night and we could have one by quite pool the next day. We agreed to go to the Grand Royal Solaris. It was beautiful 5 * hotel. For us leaving for one night we got a room upgrade, free massages and free wifi for a week and a letter from the owner saying he was sorry. Rooms: clean, comfortable beds, always good pressure of water and hot in shower, room are quite big and cant complain about anything. Food: at the buffet there was always something to eat and always good. We ate at all the restaurants for dinner and my fav was sea food. The surf and turf was amazing. The asian was good but the red curry tai is really spicy and they don't say this on the menu. The Italian was really good too. The salmon was to died for. I did not care for the tex mex for dinner but the lunch is there is good. Entertainment : Sarah 69 is doing a great job and so is Brenda . I was never bored by the sexy pool . I have to say it was a lack of ppl the wanted to participate in activities that made their job difficult . You so have to play beach volley ball with Sarah it is a blast. The 3 night show that made it to we're great. The casino night would be more fun if it was longer than 1 hour. We get all dressed up in Lingerie just for hour . Diving: we did a 2 tank dive in Cancun. It was great got to see a ray for the first time and since the last time 6 yrs ago the reefs there are really starting to come alive. The last time was there was just after hurricane Rita and they got damaged so it was nice to see them coming back. Drinks: yes you do have to ask for the type of alcohol you want like smirnoff or Canadian Whisky cuz if not you get there crappy stuff. My fav drink was a Miami Vice! Off the resort stuff: we made it to Coco Bongo show it is a must but tip your waiter good the first time and you will see him come around more. The show was amazing to see. We took the city bus a lot there are easy to use. We even took the city bus to Playa de Carman for the day to go shopping . It is supper easy and cheaper than a day trip. It only cost 4.50 pesos each way. thanks to Red and Lucky for letting us tag along and showing us how easy it is. All and all had a great time And so want to go back. We did not experence anything negative but we are easy going ppl. :flagcanada:
