Last year we booked our trip for December early in the year, February. Looking at the same trip at the same time, it is $600 more this year. How early do repeaters book, and when is the best time to find a good price. I know in December nothing is full capacity so waiting might be better? Last time we booked GP, but are looking at that, GOV, or Temptation. They are pretty much the same price on Orbitz, so that shouldn't matter.
We generally book right after the beginning of the year for our May trip.. we actually just booked today and got almost the exact price we got last year and we're staying an extra night this time..
Had to do a little finagling with plane tickets, but we are within $100 there. The rooms are harder to compare - we got a jacuzzi room last time for 7 nights and this time it's a DLX Ocean for five. Obviously less, but seems like it's note nought less - so I'd venture to say the prices are a little higher unless you get lucky.
ive played this game ! 36 hours till trip #8 to TTR ! Woo Hoo !!! I always go in early Feb. Over the years I have done both , book months in advance and book days in advance. Now I start looking in early fall and just watch the prices for a while. this year there was a great deal in October and I jumped on it . I kept checking and 3 weeks later it was $700 more, in mid Dec it got back down a bit but still saved $300. the time I booked days in advance was definitely my most affordable year , but really happy with this years price . Oh did I mention 35 hours till party time ?
