We arrive next Wednesday. (Woo Hoo!) We've already decided based on reading many threads that we are going to use USA Transfers from the airport to the resort. Our questions is this: Should we use them to go back to the airport or should we use a cab? On previous vacations where transportation was included, the transportation people have always scheduled to pick us up sooo early from the resort the day of departure. Then we end up sitting in the airport for hours longer than we need to. For those of you have gone to Temptations, what would you suggest for us?

I would use them round trip $55. They are awesome!

As for the waiting, they do pick up a bit early but, we have had some very long lines at check in depending on the day some worse then others. I think our pick up is 2 hours before departure, (they are usually not early) so we might have 1/2 hour 45 minutes before the flight leaves.

yep used them 2 weeks ago, $55 to the driver the day they pick you up + a tip whatever you like. The day you leave Cancun just be downstairs for them to pick you up at the scheduled time and have your voucher for that day and whatever tip you want to give. Honestly it was VERY painless and the drivers were professional not trying to take us right to The Pleasure Principle like the taxi's. I have heard there are cheaper ways to get roundtrip transfers but for about $10 more I feel very good referring USA Transfers considering most of this forum use them it sounds like. Have fun

I'd suggest still use USA Transfers and if you feel your pick up time is too early simply ask them to make it later, you can call them from the resort or email them before you go. They'll be happy to do that.

I've always used USA transfer to the resort and grabbed one of the cabs back. The price seems pretty close and the cabs are ALWAYS there waiting when you're ready.

Thanks for all the replies. Guess we'll just tell them to pick us up at the resort a little later. They're getting paid regardless so they shouldn't care.

You can always chat with them online. great feature. I did when we were notified about the new rules. I will do the same about the later pick up but still don't want to cut it too close.

    USA Transfers

We were first timers May 2010 and we used them and they were great. Our flight was late arriving and we spend 3 hours in the airport (in line for immigration) but when we finally made it out of the airport they were there for us. The day we left we checked out and within 10 mins the van was outside to take us to the airport.

We used them last month and thought they were satisfactory. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our ride to pick us up at the airport. For our return, they were there waiting for us when we checked out of the resort, but I wasn't impressed that the air conditioning in the vehicle wasn't working properly. With the temperature being about 90F, it wasn't a comfortable ride back to the airport.

you should get to the airport early especially if it's a weekend departure - it is SO crowded so you want to leave yourself enough time for immigration. Remember - keep walking past the "blue shirts" at the airport when you arrive!!
