Ok, we've used them many times, luv em. BUT I'm trying to book flight times and I can't remember how long before departure they pick you up. I don't want to have to get up at the crack of dawn to go home? Anyone recently? Refresher?
We always tell them to pick us up 2hrs before our flight, we generally arrive at roughly 90-minutes before our flight which leaves us a good 45-minutes to clear ticketing & security which only takes us 15-minutes on average. We always fly out on Sundays at 5pm and the airport is very quiet at that time. Perhaps others need more time based on flight/traffic activity. There standard pick up is 2.5hrs before flight - we just tell them our flight is 30-minutes later than it actually is.
yea, they want to get you about 3 hours before your flight. Like IDareU, we email them after they send the confirmation info and change the pick up to 2 hours before the flight out.
We just used them September 29 for our return to the airport. When you book, they ask you for your flight times. They will then schedule you for 2 hours and 15 minutes before your flight, or whatever time they decide is appropriate based on day of week, which resort they are picking you up from, etc. On the confirmation page you will get, it says that if you want to get picked up earlier, to call them. They provide a phone number. It says YOU are responsible for making sure you have plenty of time to catch your flight. Hope this helps.
We also always tell them our flight is 30 mins later. Our flight this past trip was 2pm so we told them 2:30pm. They scheduled the pick up time for 11:45. This was from Pearl so another 15 mins away from the airport. We got to the airport a little before 12:30 and had plenty of time even with the check in desk having an issue with their bag tags and making us wait an HOUR for them to figure out how to print a new one. We got the end of the role of tape and it didn't print right.
They say the pickup time is 2.5 hours before your flight plus driving time to the airport. We left TTR Oct 10; they told us pickup would be 1:45PM for a 4:30 flight. The driver was right on time, and extremely friendly & courteous.
Two years ago, we walked into the airport to head home and the place was absolutely packed. This was a Sunday afternoon in February for about a 3 pm flight. It took forever to get our bags checked and get through security. With less than the 3 hour pickup window, we probably would have missed our flight. We always just play it safe when it comes to airports.
We had the same thing on a Sunday this past April. Even with that large time window we literally walked from the security straight onto the plane because of long lineups. On the other hand we once had a 7:00am flight time to leave Mexico (lets just say we didn't sleep) and had a 5:00am pickup. We sat at the gate waiting for over an hour because the drive time was fast and there was literally no one at the airport. Time of day/# of other flights make a big difference.
