hey everyone I just wanted to give a update on Dallas . As everyone knows we made the choice to home school Dallas when we was not happy with the schools . This was almost 2 years ago. We have recently moved to another town with wonderful schools and have been interviewing the teachers and schools. We so far are very happy with everyone! They have a vision teachers and teachers that are schooled in helping and teaching children that are blind and have Cerebral palsy /brain damage. Within the next 10 days Dallas will have a arena testing. This will decide which school he will attend. They want him to have a one on one aid *( YES!!!!!) a teacher just for him that will stay with him all day everyday! This will help a GREAT deal in teaching Dallas. We told them we want Dallas to not to just get by in life but to succed in life. We felt like a million bucks as the Vision teacher told us she was amazed after reading Dallas's past records and seeing Dallas face to face and thinking is this the same child? He is our walking, talking, eatting machine! This week Dallas has learned to add. 1 + 1 1+ 2 1+3 1+4 1+5 We could not be more proud of him then we are. We along with the school will try to get Dallas to learn to read braille. Even if it's just the abc's for the first couple years. Were going to work on math! Reading! spelling I can't believe it! My baby will go to school and actully have math reading spelling english! The other school always said" not worth the effort he wont beable to understand" Now we understand he may only work on one thing over and over for a year or so but this is a start!!!!!!!!!! I'll post pics of his first day of school when he starts. <---------- very proud mommy. PS. Andrianna starts JR high next year!!! can you believe that?! geeeeeeeeee they are growing up fastttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
