first of all I love TTR. Been there 3 times. We have friends also going but want to try breathless. We like some party and nightlife. Trying to decide. Anyone been to breathless
Yes we’ve been to breathless.. If you’re going for the food, amenities, and service first, you’ll love breathless. It’s the nicest resort we’ve ever been to in that regard. That said if you’re going for an adult party atmosphere like TTR you’ll be disappointed. Yes it’s topless optional but I’d say only 10%-20% of the women participate and there are cameras EVERYWHERE.. I’m talking, people Facebook living inside of the foam parties and even drones flying above shooting the party. It’s more of a Vegas style atmosphere than anything else, which if you’ve been to TTR, feels kind of pg13ish. No real theme participation at night time and you’ll be asked to leave the club if you’re dressed “inappropriately” For someone who’s never been to TTR and is looking to do something a little risqué, it’s probably perfect. But for a TTR veteran, it may feel a little too tame
That pretty well sums it up, however, it seems that TTR management is trying to push the vibe at TTR to be more like Breathless. If they succeed at that, there would be no reason to go to TTR any more.
I do wonder if people reach that threshold where it doesn't make sense to go to TTR anymore due to more restrictions and rules while not having the better food, facilities like Breathless, will it result in people going to Breathless or taking that next step and trying Desire?
Just curious... What exactly are you not allowed to do at TTR anymore? When we were there in April it seemed business as usual as far as we could tell.
I agree that we didn’t encounter many of the recently mentioned changes in April (some but not many of the negative hype reported lately) . There is definitely a theme though with recent reports about more rules and security so can’t deny that, however, when I pry for specifics I get a lot of hear say and stuff like ‘they wouldn’t let us have sex on the beach!!!’... well, technically you have never been ‘allowed’ to have sex on the beach. So I will let others provide their examples.
If anything, I saw more shenanigans at the new TTR in April than I did in our past 7 trips to the old one..
Never been to breathless but one thing I did read is that breathless is no longer topless optional, at least the one in Cancun is not. This kinda sucks that management is pushing certain behaviors on the resort but I also think if management is doing this is because they are getting some type of compliments from people that don’t like PDA. People TTR is about doing naughty shenanigans that you don’t do back home if this offend you maybe look to the other side and keep enjoying your self.
The vibe in May/June was more like Vegas than TTR. yes, we were told three times to stop doing things that were acceptable before. Two at Bash, one at the Sexy Pool. We also saw other people getting reprimanded for innocent things. We're going back this weekend and we'll see if that was a trend or a fluke.
