With the Heat advancing to the finals I wouldn't mind keeping "somewhat" up to date while there, and maybe catching a few glimpses of the game. They don't happen to have major sporting events on in the background do they? Won't spend my entire evenings glued to the TV but it'd be nice to watch some of it!
The sport's bar inside has a couple tv's in there. I had full intentions of following the NHL playoff's while down there, never caught one game. Time + days sort of just blended together.
the alternative bar does have 3 TVs above the bar and two other on the wall at one end of the bar. The bartenders are happy the turn on whatever station you want as long as they are able to get it.
I'm sure they will have the NBA finals game on in the sports bar. We went there during the last world cup and that was a blast. They had TV's everywhere when mexico played. It took a little longer to get a drinks, but it was fun watching all the staff get so involved watching the game and going crazy. They also had viewing parties in the sports bar whenever Canada, UK, or US had a match.
I know in May they also redid the carpets and some other remodeling so its nice and fresh in there now. I remember seeing them start in the morning and by night they had done a complete overhaul. It was pretty cool to stumble by and observe the progress.
I never ever saw hockey on during in the Sport's bar when I was down during the 2010 playoffs. Some restaurants in town advertise heavy that they show hockey, like the Outback. Maybe that's why you never caught one!
