Ok so what gives . Selected dates 27th May 2015 for 5 nights . Rate 1 - direct Temptation resort site price $303/night Rate 2 - CCC swinger site link at 40% off promo rate $303/night Rate 3- Alpharooms using the CCC link $199/night . Im sure if I tried expedia , orbitz etc etc every one would have their own spin on the rates WTF!!!! Why don't they just have 1 rate for a particular period of time and be done with it . Stop playing games with the prices and clients . Sure I agree special time should be at a higher rate (xmas new year etc etc) but just quit the BS with the rates please :ranting1::ranting1::bj::aktion052:
We found Alpha Rooms to be the best price as well. And...if Steve makes a little something by us using the CCC link that is a bonus reason to use Alpha Rooms in my opinion.
I just tried the same dates on Kayak and they list the rates for probably 8/10 other companies . They are all over the map from $200 to $425 a night for exactly the same room exactly the same dates . Maybe the travel companies/carriers think we are all computer dummies and don't know how to use Google etc ??
You would be surprised at how many people dont shop around, and dont realize how much money they can save by not going through a travel agent or just shopping prices. It can be over $1000.00 some times. Im not talking about pocket chage. I can literally sit down at my computer and have us booked for XX days at TTR with flight and transfer, in about 15-20 minutes through Cheaptickets or Alpharooms.
don't forget to check Cheaptickets.com They are not always the best price but they were for us this time. bookit.com was best last time around.
We got a good deal on alpharooms in May, but we booked in October, just paid the 10 dollar deposit to secure the rate, just paid it off last week, we got it for $150 a night US. unfortunely we Canadians are being robbed on our shitty dollar, the exchange bumped it up to $195 a night.
The last few years, orbitz has won the bid for us. But we have used many sites including alpha rooms over the last 15 years, not all to TTR, but in cancun. Our theory, when we can beat the price from the year before we look hard and usually book.
We have friends that were still using a travel agent, and we asked, "why?" They were paying almost double what we were for the same # of nights. They have since seen the light. LOL
We usually book with sky auction when we travel ..with all their fees it comes out to 211/night on those dates (TTR). They are usually the cheapest rate for hedo but in cancun alpharooms was the way to go for us. Its a amazing that a small tweak to your travel dates can save you 100s also.
